If you were the captain of a team that was going to compete in a randomly selected 5 of the 50 most popular sports in the world would you pick her in her prime vs. other great athletes in their prime? I'm guessing she isn't in your top 250 athletes, but you may consider Floyd.

No, I would not pick her. I would pick all men. I find this little scenario sort of strange. What is supposed to prove?

That the Tour de France gives a yellow jersey to the race leader but one team's jerseys are yellow, so it can be tough to tell which yellow jersey is the leader sometimes. I say that team with yellow jerseys needs to change that ****

An athlete is defined as someone who is good at sports, games and exercises that require physical skill and strength. She is not one of the best athletes in the world for the same reason babe Ruth doesn't deserve to be on the list of all time great athletes - they aren't good at a wide range of athletic events/sports. They are good at one sport.

The best NL hold'em player is not one of the best all around poker players if he/she doesn't play any poker except hold'em.

I'm not sure who would be on my list of 10. I guess bo Jackson, Jim brown, Ali, lebron, and OJ to name a few.

jim brown is well known for being amazing at multiple sports in college, but the point is still ******ed since he wants to devolve into definition nittery over "athlete" but then changed "greatest" to "best"

greatness involves importance and notability. no one gives a **** about some crossfit dude

I'm not changing the definition. I was basically quoting webster's definition. Serena is no where near the top 200 best or greatest athletes. It has nothing to do with her being a woman. Being good at one sport does not make you a good athlete.

Parents who bring multiple children to the theater and let them each have some money to buy their own snacks in line. Kids are terrible at things. Just make them wait while you get the snacks for ****s sake.
