750 is just giving everybody odds to call correctly. Best just to bet the whole 1000 and put pressure on everyone to make a mistake.

Not a big savings for the extra effort, which is why it should be in this thread. But maybe part of the reason they are putting out the extra greens is so even if they forget to say raise, it is a raise to 1050 instead of a call of 200 or 300 or whatever, which is a nice fallback option.
