The only reasonable reaction to this story is either to ignore it and give your head a shake, or come here and complain about it like rubix did.

I am also actually curious, is there a real argument against these occasional nitty derails? I tend to either enjoy reading them, enjoy participation (obv) or just ignore the ones that are not interesting to me. I get the feeling that people who call out them out are mostly taking the opportunity to be rule nits and placing more importance on that then the actual issue itself. I accept that I miss cues sometimes though, which is why I ask.
