American food is terrible when you compare it dollar for dollar.

Hell, even when you don't, Europe uses fresher ingredients. They don't put half the crap that we do... like artificial flavorings etc. It's a better tasting and higher quality of a product there.

I've only spent a couple of months there, but that's my take of it. European domino's and pizza Hut is night and day compared to American ones.

Yeah, the place is a special place. Their seasoning is like coriander and a few other things. It's really good. They make everything when ordered and handmade. Kitchen is small, so things come out at different times.

I'm not very well travelled but are you saying Dominos and Pizza Hut are better in Europe than USA#1?

I had a slice of "pizza" in Edinburgh from a random local spot and it was terrible.

Can't find my pic of Japanese pizza with squid, egg, and canned corn

I don't think it's there anymore, but there was a Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant in Torrance, CA (large Japanese population) I've been to a few times. I think I had weird pizza there.

I always thought the canned corn, canned tuna Pizza Hut pizza my cousin in Germany ate sounded horrible, though I guess a tuna casserole on pizza crust >>> regular tuna casserole.

How is low quality pizza chains possibly what is used to determine which place has better food?
09-14-2016 , 02:11 PM
Yes that was super funny to me too.
One thing I noticed in recipes from the USA is convenience products like hot sauces, spice mixes etc. Are used more often.

Where have you lived in the US? Where have you lived in Europe.

I've lived in London, Oslo, Houston, Atlanta, New York, and San Francisco (also Chicago and St Louis for short stints) and think your post is generally absurd.

It sounds like your issue is mainly that you just go to ****ty places.

London and Oslo hardly Europe though.

Dominos is awful in the US. It's OK in the UK when you're hungover.

That goes for you too, Netherlanders.

Fritessaus or frietsaus is a Dutch accompaniment to French fries, served popularly nationwide. It is similar to mayonnaise, but with at most 25% fat and is usually sweeter than mayonnaise.
sounds like miracle whip

So domino's has better ingredients and they serve that? Verdict is in: European food wins

Had some surprisingly good pizza in Japan last month. Though to be fair it was at a family-owned Italian restaurant, not a chain or supermarket or whatever.
