Rogen's a mega douche and Franco is a pretentious douche. Also Rogen is a total douche. Franco should probably not do movies anymore or go to school or do stupid paintings. Rogen should stop sucking if only that were possible

Yeah, more than one thought on a subject can be tough. You could always repeat what someone else has said next time instead of your own single load you were able to muster. The thread having aids, for example, is a popular one for the painfully unoriginal.

So you're a fan then? But seriously, you and I don't have the same tastes or priorities so it is not distressing to me if you don't like me or have a bad view of me. Since you have made clear it will never get past personal bs between us in this thread by your choice, I'll indulge in trading insults, but it is insignificant.

I don't think I'll be looking back on this for any reason, but if I do it won't be to rue being worked up. This thread and the discussion in it is worthless for anything more than a place to vent. I'll represent the elitist for them, they represent...well you know. If imagining that I'm worked up over the super great insults provides those tossing them with a little satisfaction, it is a good trade for the satisfaction I am getting for actually getting to tell a ****ing idiot they are a ****ing idiot instead of suffering it like we all have to do irl day to day. So sure. I'm super upset. I'm frothing. Say something to me and wind me up again and see if I reply. Clap like a seal of if I do. I'm shooting fish in a barrel to let off a little steam. Win-win.

Level, right? I don't know how I started with a higher opinion of your ability to comprehend a point than you demonstrate here. I like silly movies. I probably would have watched this one if there wasn't a general consensus that it sucked.

This is not a movie review thread. See the title? It is about Sony canceling the theater release. What I was "worked up" about is the reaction to that action. The fact that people are paying more attention to this than real, destructive censorship. That people are more concerned with not letting Kim Jung Whatever in either north or south Koreasame****, interfere with them watching a movie than the ****ing death he is dealing to real people. Work camps. Slavery. There was a chance for people to give a **** about someone else. Instead they are taking pride in supporting Sony during this travesty on the premis that it is somehow helping show the world who we are. I'm afraid it is and I'm afraid that isn't what they think.

I find it even more sad that people are pretending they are fighting censorship by fighting for this useless ****ty movie when actual American Classic books are banned in schools by our own government without an eyebrow raised, and I worry about what the **** we are doing for our kids.

I'll accept that my tone was not cool but the dumbing down of the public by feeding us bull**** is a very disturbing and accelerating trend and our country is much, much worse for it.

Now, if all you get out of that is I called the movie useless and ****ty and that is impolite because you liked it we are right where we left off.

Judging by your posting if you had/have kids it would be a plus EV bet they were raised by the TV. Amirite?

not all of us are smart enough to read newsweek.

also the release/non-release of the interview isn't a censorship issue genius.

you trying to conflate it with american censorship is pretty dumb.
maybe stop trying so hard to be a condescending douchebag.

I can't slow down how fast you read the same way I'd speak slowly to you face to face for this next part, so fingers crossed.

I don't recommend, or read newsweek myself. I was insulting somebody about the choices they make in the nail salon for reading material and that seemed like a good choice to paint the picture. Idk what magazines are available in nail salons. I don't even know if newsweek is still in print. Newsweek was not the point of the insult. You are very dim for thinking it was a real suggestion. I recommend you stop drawing attention to that.

We agree that the release of this movie is not a censorship issue. My point is that it is being confused all over the Internet by idiots. In fact that is my point ****ing precisely. That there are real examples of censorship to give a **** about and these same people who are calling this censorship don't give a **** about them makes it worse.

The funny thing is you probably agree with me but won't admit it because I rubbed you the wrong way so you are trying to nit pick posts instead. Just so you know, I like TV too. Now what?

Newsweek is an American weekly news magazine founded in 1933. Its print edition is available in English in the United States, Pakistan, Europe, Middle East and Africa. It is also available in Japanese in Japan, in Polish in Poland, in Korean in Korea and in Spanish in all Spanish speaking countries. It is the second-largest news weekly magazine in the U.S., having trailed Time in circulation and advertising revenue for most of its existence. It is published in four English language editions and 12 global editions written in the language of the circulation region.

In October 2012, Brown announced that Newsweek would cease print publication with the December 31, 2012, issue and transition to an all-digital format, to be called Newsweek Global.[6][7][8]

On August 3, 2013, IBT Media announced it had acquired Newsweek from IAC on terms that were not disclosed; the acquisition included the Newsweek brand and its online publication, but did not include The Daily Beast.[9] IBT Media relaunched a print edition of Newsweek on March 7, 2014.[10][11]

I liked This is The End, but thought people overrated it. I'm a big fan of pretty much the entire Apatow crew aside from Jay Baruchel.

The Interview would be placed solidly in the did not like rating.

Story on slashdot says the movie, while getting terrible reviews in the US, was favorably received in Japan and causing a certain amount of grief for the NK gov't.

Possibly the movie was a tool of the U.S. Gov't?
