When this kind of random street violence becomes a possibility, things generally don't play out like when you have a couple of meatheads getting in a brawl outside the bar. There's not going to the progressive escalation from **** talking to standing nose to nose to shoving to punching. With a deranged guy like this, he's just as likely to stab you with a rusty screw driver as he is to shove you. Once he enters your personal space in an aggressive manner, it's on. And not in a schoolyard kind of way, but in a fight for your life kind of way.

although this was most likelly a tragic accident yak does have a point.
beating someone with a skateboard although he hasnt attacked you just because you fear he might attack you at some point might be over the line.
