Hello OOT, I come to you for your wisdom, with two seperate questions/problems.

1. Shower etiquette

So I was at the gym today, generally minding my own business. I finish my workout and go shower. The showers look like this:

Little difficult to tell from my mspaint, but the showers are kinda in pairs, so 1&2 are a little closer together and share a soap dispenser between them. Same goes for 3/4 and 5/6 and same on the other side.
The showers are a two knob setup, one that u turn to set your temperature, the other one you push in regular intervals so that the water flows/keeps flowing. Not all showers are created equal. some you have to push annoyingly frequently to keep the water flowing, others are set to longer water flow times.

Well, So there was someone on the right side of the showers, rest were all empty, so I go and use shower #1. As I am almost finished, a naked old german man, comes and uses shower #2. At this moment I remember #2 as one of the showers that will let the water flow for a very long time.

I believe his behavior is unaccaptable and am asking OOT if you agree? IMO, it's pretty close (but more reasonable) to taking the urinal right next to a person when there are tons open. He should inconvenience himself a little and take a shower that's not so close to me and push that silly button a little bit more frequently.

2. Pizza with garlic

Sometimes, I dont just want to eat a pizza, but I want a pizza that reeks of garlic. Just massive amounts of garlic. So i was thinking about what the perfect pizza to add tons of garlic to is. While I do like a wide variety of pizza, not all are made to just pour garlic oil all over them. Well anyways, i've been mulling it over in my head and the best thing i came up with was: Spinach Pizza. Seems to me like a very solid choice, but I would very much like to hear what the collective wisdom of OOT has to add to my garlic problem. Whats the best Pizza to add garlic to OOT?

1. There have been studies regarding personal space and it's found that where there is extra room it's normal to feel put off by someone standing right next to you but when there's not much room we accept it. German guy is out of line.

2. Pepperoni but if you have to go w/ a veggie, green/red pepper bec they part when bitten but spinach will often drag the rest of it's sloppiness all over the place.

Is this an open shower with no walls dividing between them? Also don't drop the soap

Also as someone that used to work as a pizza cook, adding garlic to a pizza makes it objectively better and anybody that disagrees is wrong.

i didnt stare, but circumcision isnt as prevelant in the rest of the world as it is in the US, so i would assume he was uncircumcised

Why garlic oil and not, for example, roasted garlic?

Doesn't take long to make, and fresh roasted garlic is amazing.

Skill, if you're in the U.S. next summer:

http://gilroygarlicfestival.com/

Gilroy calls itself the Garlic Capital of the World. They get a Garlic Train running from San Jose, home of LHE from 3/6 up to 80/160.

The German guy is definitely out of line if you'd be here in USA#1, but you're in Germany -- and the level of social politesse about such things is much lower there -- people barge in queues, tailgate (not that I mind this in the left lane on the autobahn, mind you) and other such things. So yes, he's out of line but deal with it.

I was walking around a lake in Bavaria not that long ago when a German guy ran up to the lake on a path directly perpendicular to the path around the lake. When he got to the water, he took off all of his clothes and jumped in. Here in USA#1, that would be almost entirely unheard of, borderline creepy, and could get you cited for public nudity. In Germany? It's pretty much normal. How do I know he was German? He shouted "Morgen!" (short for "guten Morgen" or "good morning") and gave me a cheery wave as he ran by.

germans dont cut in line. they will however sprint to the front if there is another cash register opening.
i obviously deal with it, just figured it was an OOT worthy question and the garlic thing has been on my mind for a while

This brings up the question - is it ever appropriate to give a cheery wave as you enter a communal shower room? I would think that would be much more creepier than merely showering next to someone.

Seen multiple LOL Europeans cut bus lines at Port Authority in NYC then say "no English" when everyone yells at them for it.

Bus drivers/staff never do anything about it either so I and others resent European tourists for this. USA # 1.
