Girl should have watched her manners and not looked at the dog rudely.

Everyone involved is a ****ing moron and should be expunged from the gene pool.

Am I doing it right guys?

The dogs ran to the shopping plaza at approximately 7:30 p.m. the night of the attack and bit a man in the arm and leg, as well as another man in his leg, according to Seabrook Police Animal Control Officer Jeff Baillargeon. He said the woman was unharmed because her clothing took the brunt of the attack, preventing the bite from breaking her skin.

So much lol in that article. His last pit was the father of these dogs and he was euthanized after attacking a kid. One of the dogs had already attacked a neighbor's dog and the police seized him, but a judge ruled the dog could return to Janvrin.

Yeah LOL

Just a tragic accident nobody could have seen coming since “The dogs are usually so friendly and great with the kids."

"82-year-old woman who was mauled to death as she walked her dog not far from her northwest Oklahoma City home."

Great way to end a long life. Another article said she was almost decapitated.

I have a female pit/lab mix that is the sweetest dog I've ever had and is great around my 7 year old. Although, I suppose the fact that it's a female and a mix could be working in my favor. A pure-bred male might be a different story.

Probably, but nobody here is saying that every single pit bull is going to maul someone someday. The potential exists within every single one of them, though.

Can the same not be said of other breeds? I think your average chow is much more aggressive than your average pit, most pits that I've been around have been pretty chill. Granted the pit is capable of inflicting more damage I think just due to its brute strength.

When a shih tzu bites a kid the kid usually survives the attack. That's why people don't try to ban then even though they bite more often than pits.

This, along with the grab and shake instinct is the crux of the issue. Bad owners, bad training, bad breeding etc are not exclusive to pitbulls but even if identified as present and causal in any specific case it does not negate the scale of damage factor.

That's the point. Pits inflict more damage.

Pit owners are just the best people

Marinna Rollins and Jared Heng were arrested by sheriff's deputies in Cumberland County, North Carolina. They're charged with animal cruelty, a felony.

According to a police report obtained by CNN affiliate WTVD, the pair took the gray-and-white male pit bill named Cami to a wooded area earlier this month.

Rollins shot the dog five times, authorities said, and is heard laughing in the video as she does it.

"It's been real Cami. I love you. You're my puppy. You're my puppy but ...," the woman in the video says.

The dog belonged to Rollins and was her emotional support animal, Sheriff's Sgt. Sean Swain told CNN.

The other options are just setting it loose or giving it to a shelter.
