This would make sense since you're actively looking for when e and d are next to each other since they make so many words. I just don't see why the developers would go to the trouble to rig the letters so they'd be next to each other especially often - it happens enough on its own and rigging adds unnecessary complexity. Kinda like how poker sites don't have to rig high pair over high pair preflop or flush draws getting there, it happens enough already. I could be wrong though.
I wouldn't be surprised if they just pick 16 letters from the set of letters in a game of Words With Friends, which would explain why you never see more than one X/J/Q/Z. It'd be pretty difficult to pick 16 letters randomly without getting at least one E and a neighboring R/T/S/D I think.
It does feel like I play TEA/EAT/ATE/ETA/TAE just about every game though...

TY for posting all your scores, I'll add them to the spreadsheet in a bit.
For future reference if you want to add them yourself, go to the 'Round Robin Results' page and locate the row with your name. Then find the cell that intersects with the column with your opponent's name and put your score in there. Do the same for your opponent's score, but that goes in his row and your column. An optional step that helps for readability but isn't necessary for the scorekeeping is bolding the winning score.
So if Player A beats Player B 2500-2000, the matrix would look like this:
| Player A | Player B |
Player A | | 2500 |
Player B | 2000 | |
You can also just keep posting scores in here or PM me and I'll see that they get added to the spreadsheet.
