Patch Adams quote:

"What's wrong with death sir? What are we so mortally afraid of? Why can't we treat death with a certain amount of humanity and dignity, and decency, and God forbid, maybe even humor. Death is not the enemy gentlemen. If we're going to fight a disease, let's fight one of the most terrible diseases of all, indifference."

This is probably first death that has really affected me. Dont really know how I feel. But I know his movies will never be the same. RIP.

Whomever said "at the center of every bright flame is a little touch of blue" was really spot on in this case.

Crushing loss. Another part of my youth is gone. RIP

Garp was impressive because up until then I didn't know he was actually a great actor. He trained at Julliard under John Houseman alongside Christopher Reeve. His first comedy special--or at lest the first one I was--was also pretty great, but you could see how manic he was

Wow, just watched "The angriest man in Brooklyn" a few days ago and I kept repeating the scene where he records a message for his son, such an awesome actor. Depression is awful, nobody should ever feel suicidal, let alone an awesome guy like him. Good night Robin, rest in peace.

RIP. You made this world a better place and enriched peoples lives.

Too bad you couldn't see that thru this horrible depression.

No one mentioned Club Paradise which was pretty far from high end film making but always made me laugh.

Born for the camera.

Came alive when it was on.

When it was off though...

Rub of fame.

I wonder how much money was raised over the years directly due to his involvement with the various charities he participated in.

So many remarkable movie performances over the years.

Also, not to be forgotten are his memorable and incredibly funny talk show appearances.

I sure wish he was still here.

A legend!

RIP.

Was always impressed with him as a person due to the genuine joy he seemed to get from making people laugh, even as he got older. Pretty tough to hear this and realize how much he was suffering. One of my favorite actors growing up.
