I know this, but Clipse promotion > M.O.P even when/if they still are with Gunit

They have been off G-Unit for some time. M.O.P. are rly old school so don't use (know about?) any of the social networking stuff to promote their albums, plus I don't think most M.O.P. fans are the type that would go out and actually pay for music

M.O.P. + Pharoahe Monch + Alchemist beat, can't get much better than that

Pharoahe Monch - No Mercy

If you're going to mention Nas you gotta throw in Take It in Blood:

I liked Ras Kass's Soul On Ice, but his demo tape for this album is way better, even with inferior quality.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2UeK...eature=related Soul On Ice (Diamond D remix)

A Tribe Called Quest has always been assessable music for non-rap listeners:

Like most two disc albums I think there exists a good album on Streets Disciple that is lost due to all the filler.

Yes, Nas can be amazing or kinda bad.

Ras Kass is sick but should be better.

Best new MOP track - Blow the Horns

I agree...The Albums Nastradamus, QB's Finest, and Stillmatic is weak. Illmatic is untouchable.

Yeah, Monch is like top 3 for me. Wish he had more stuff out, it's Internal Affairs, Desire, and then his stuff with Organized Konfusion and that's it besides The Awakening mixtape

For a dude who's been around for like 15 years i wish he had more released...pretty stoked for W.A.R.

Last edited by CheckRaise; 01-24-2010 at 11:46 PM. Reason: i wouldn't call QB's Finest a Nas album

Pharoah Monch was my favorite underground rapper. I would say he still is and that's just based on his Internal Affairs album. I think this album went OOP because of the "Simon Says" godzilla sample. Bought a copy at a record store, what a find.

Simon Says

haha well i strongly disagree with that but w/e if you don't like then you don't like, simple as that

imo there are a bunch of great tracks on that album, i would probably put it 3rd or 4th on my Nas album rank list

to like nas or even rap and to say that stillmatic is only bearable is absolutely absurd on so many levels.

It's a really good example of how my feelings for nas are polarized.

Love: What Goes Around, Destroy & Rebuild, One Mic, Got yourself a Gun, Ether

Hate: Most of the rest (some I'm indifferent to)

Nas filler is better than a lot of rappers best stuff.
