Went to Kanye/Lupe/n.e.r.d. at MSG last night. Went in May too but got way too drunk so needed to experience it again w/ better seats.

Lupe had a live band and Matthew Santos for his whole set and did a great job, brought soooo much energy. I missed hip-hop saved my life which pissed me off.

Kanye's set was unreal. Two encores one for Touch the Sky where Lupe came out for his verse and the crowd went nuts. His 2nd encore was for Homecoming. He also performed his Put On verse, Jesus Walks, Good Morning, Self Conscious, Spaceship, Diamonds, Heard Em Say, Good Life, Flashing Lights, I Wonder, Hey Mama, and maybe even more ****. He was on stage for like 2 hours I think. Say what you want about dude being insane, which he is, but he puts on an amazing show and has great music.

He also went on a rant at the end of the show on people hating on artists like Soulja Boy, Wayne, etc. which the crowd obviously boo'ed but I agree w/. Basically said a 16 year old from the hood writes his own music, his own lyrics, makes his own dance, gets rich.... and people hate on him. You don't have to like the music, just keep it moving.

i went back to watch that camron cbs interview...pure gold, and the one he did about the v.tech incident was even more absurd. basically anytime cam opens his mouth to speak on a serious topic prepare to be completely dumbfounded.

It's not music? What are you, 80 years old and offended that young boys call their jungle rhythms music?

He's obviously terrible, but it baffles me people get so upset over him, I don't see how he's that different from most of the other "circus acts" out there but people get nauseated by him and not everyone else. Is it cuz he had a dance? If he actually wrote his own stuff (as I've heard) he's already more authentic than most other acts out there, even if it is gimmicky as hell.

I'd work on getting some perspective.

And no, at no point have I ever enjoyed the song.

Hating on him is pretty stupid. I hate the song too and think it is ******ed, but so what? A lot of music is. I still wished I knew how to do the dance every time they played it in the club.

no im 18 and listen to primarily rap

his "music" is nothin like anyone else, besides the goons he brought in the game with him(v.i.c. and arab )

judging by a couple youtube vids, interviews, and mostly his music, he is the most unintelligent person ive ever come across

im hopein that ****in ass clown writes his own **** cause if some1 else is that dumb to put that **** out, they should go drown themselves in a tub of tabasco sauce

"And no, at no point have I ever enjoyed the song" he has more than one song, and i personally didnt hate him til after his song and dance came out, i thought that song was just a bad song. but when he came out with all the other bull****, it became clear that he is complete dumbass clown

before you say that hes like like other bad rappers, seaarch these jams on youtube and see if your opinion changes
doo doo head
poppin on myspace
yahh bitch
girl you stank

and the ice-t respnse vid

Soulja Boy's music is not good, but I respect the dude. He's writing his own stuff, making his own beats. Enough people like his music to go plat, good for him.

Edit: how could you hate on this quality music and dance? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG4xnTnFnJw

Hey Agx did you just find the internet? And for that matter did you just find hip hop?

Ever since Hip Hop got big theres been equivalent's to Soulja Boy, there just a part of it. A part that most true Hip Hop fans dont like but you cant go around telling some kid whos making money for his (in many circmstances) previously poor family (EDIT: This shouldnt matter but it Im trying to put into perspective the people who yell at them for being sell outs) that he shouldnt be doing what hes doing because you dont think it fits in with your definition of that particular type of music.
