Nas got that old flow back, actually excited for a Nas album for the first time in awhile.

I heard MM4 going to actually be sold instead of put out free, with the crack down on the mixtape game does that mean it'll have all original production? Just won't be the same if Cham isn't wrecking hot beats that ringtone rappers and other wack dudes wasted.

ya MM4 is gonna be retail, not sure if the production will be original but I hope it isn't. The Mixtape Messiah series are some of my favorite mixtapes, hope he doesn't mess with them and **** up a good thing.

hmm I actually liked Hip Hop is Dead, obviously not as much as his previous works but it had some nice tracks. I wasn't really feeling this whole Ni**er thing, the concept doesn't really appeal to me but because it's Nas I will definitely be giving it a chance.

The new track is pretty nice, definitely enjoyed it more than I expected to although his voice sounds really weird, seems a lot lower than usual.

I think the hook is weird. The song is pretty good though.

Haven't read the whole thread so idk if this genre/subset has been mentioned, but if you're into smooth West-Coast flavor I'd look into some Chicano rap for smokeout/coolout music i.e. Mr. Sancho, Mr. Capone-E, Lil Cuete, etc, google it, some of that stuff is really smooth. (Think the EXACT OPPOSITE of Crunk, word to whoever early in the thread called crunk out for just basically being gibberish and noise and some idiot yelling "YAYUH" over and over)

I believe the hook is taken from a song off "efiL4zaggiN", or at least very similar. I don't have that album on my hard drive right now though and can't check.

lol, I guess the song can't really be a single, think about all the censoring they'd have to do.

New Roots album leaked. Off the first couple listens it's heat rocks. Comes out the 29th, it'll be the first album of the year I've actually purchased.

roots album is legit. song w/ mos def and styles p BANGS. thing i like about the roots and gangstarr is they are respected in all parts of hiphop community, backpackers, thugs, etc. guru throws jada and fat joe on their album, now the roots throw saigon, styles p, while still appealing to their core audience.

its wack, luckily its from the GTAIV soundtrack so it probably won't make the album.

I'm looking forward to the new Game album, despite the name dropping. His first two singles "Big Dreams" and "Pain" are bangers.
