I know this is a random place to ask, but I'm having great difficulty finding a good handheld showerhead that actually emits a strong flow of water. I just tried one from amazon that got the highest average reviews and it was totally inadequate. I reckon there will be other high pressure shower fanatics around these parts and I'd like some imput before I try my luck on the next one. I want one of those meant for circus animals like in that Seinfeld episode

Before anyone mentions it, I know about the flow restrictors and removing them didn't help with the model I tried. It could be that my shower just doesn't get good water pressure overall, but I suspect the right showerhead could at least help somewhat. The normal one I have right now is actually decent enough, but I really want a detachable handheld one for those hard to reach places.

Does anyone who has struggled with this issue before have a recommendation for me? Thanks!

Perhaps there is a problem with your tank or mixer valve? Have you tried at least de-scaling/replacing the mixer valve? If there is a problem elsewhere, replacing the shower head is not going to do a lot for you.

No clue what a mixer valve is. I'm a renter who sucks when it comes to home improvement/maintenance. Like I said though, the pressure is adequate right now. I just want a handheld showerhead that will at least match the stationary one I have. The one I just tried was pathetic, it drizzled on some settings.

If you live on the 3rd or 4th floor of a building that's not a high-rise, you're probably lucky to get any pressure at all.

I have this: It has great pressure, highly recommended. Oxygenics also makes handheld models, but I have no experience with them.

Go to Home Depot or equivalent and ask for professional advice.

I got a Delta that was recommended at The Sweet Home and I've been very happy. It's not perfect and it's not cheap. But it does give the impression of passing more water than it actually does.
