I'm not a fan of Radiohead, but can somewhat agree with the title of this thread. I can't really think of another band that has produced ambitious, well received albums over an extended period of time the way Radiohead have for the past twenty or so years.
New release of ok computer today... I own most of the limited edition 45rpm releases including the moon shape pool lacquer LP... but it's frighten 115 degrees here in Vegas, not a good combo for shipping LP's.
Still lol every time this thread gets bumped. I have always said that Zeppelin was the favorite band of people who don't actually care about music, but it's pretty true for this **** band as well.
If you've never played an instrument, or known anyone who played an instrument, or you own less than 20 albums and you've never set foot into a legit record store because everything you want is available at Best Buy, or you go to see bands play live about 3 times every decade and pay $300+ to do it, Radiohead is your band.
OK Computer and The Bends are fantastic albums. About half of Kid A is pretty good. Beyond that and Pyramid Song, their music seems like more trouble than it's worth to me.
OP, wtf drugs were you on when you made this? I'd rather rock a Limp Biscuit or Vanilla Ice album. Radiohead sounds like music for people who wanna be miserable.
"A Moon Shaped Pool" is incredible and also more accessible for those that didn't like the more out-there In Rainbows/King of Limbs. Plenty of tracks from "Pool" available free on youtube, give it a shot.

Froegg, what instrument(s) do you play? I'm curious because I have known musicians of nearly every stripe in my life, and I have never known anyone to not at least grudgingly respect both of those bands. My drum instructor, who could play any style and difficulty under the sun, taught me largely off of following Bonham's parts.
Are you more into other styles of music or how did you arrive at this conclusion? As for Radiohead, In Rainbows is my favorite, followed closely by Kid A and OK Computer. I haven't heard enough spins of Moon Shaped Pool yet to rank it but I love the single.
