You literally could have done all this in ten minutes with three simple google searches where the answers were right there.

I hope the government goes bankrupt and your internship is canceled and your old job has replaced you and your college revokes all your credits and diploma for an overdue library book.

Please get under title of "Laziest Person Alive"
I wanted to thank you for your help and going above and beyond. Bolded needs no hope, just some time.

Sheesh, how hard is that to understand!?
Crudely put, fairly accurate though.

Ugh, did the math and, if approved, would receive just under $60 a week. The single moms make social programs look so easy. Thank everyone for the help and suggestions in spite of my ineptness.

That can't possibly be right. I've always heard that unemployment/welfare was easy street.

nah

as long as you've worked long enough (varies by state) and meet some other reqs as long as you didn't steal from your employer you're usually pretty good

a guy got fired from his job for getting charged with domestic violence and he still collected cuz it wasn't related to job performance

You would also not be eligible for unemployment if you chose to quit the job. At least that was the case in New Jersey.

To continue to receive unemployment, you had to continually show evidence that you have been pursuing a job. That's bull**** though. I just kept on collecting. I collected more through unemployment than I ever would working at a low-level job such as Wal-Mart. After I came back from a year of teaching in Korea, I was able to re-open my claim and continue receiving unemployment. Yay New Jersey.
Wrong

Voluntarily quitting your job preempts collection tho--you're right there.

Yup. Got me on that one.

Not my problem that NJ has idiotic unemployment laws. Took their payments for a few months before getting a job in China. Been teaching there ever since.
