Today I noticed a 12$ charge from COMPLETE SAVINGS 800-8261885 CT while reviewing my checking account online. I was like immediately because I hadnt ordered anything from a 800 number and it just looks sketchy. So I googled the charge which came up with these.

So basically the scam is once you order pizza hut online a pop-up comes up. I (as most people do) have pop-up blocker and just xed it without looking at it. Apparently if you dont decline the offer it automatically enrolls you in some scam and charges you 12$ a few weeks later.

I called 800-826-1885 and told them I wanted a refund as I never enrolled in anything ETC. The lady was pretty helpfull (to my suprise)and said I would get my 12$ back in 3-5 days.

I am going to email/call Pizza hut and let them know I will never buy pizza from them again. If you have ordered from pizza hut I would go over your account to see if you have been charged.

I, for one, am shocked by these allegations.

Yeah, after working at Pizza Hut I never eat there now. Absolute crap. Still, this is pretty bad since most people will just accept or not look since the are on a "trusted" site. Def call them and raise ****, try corporate.

FWIW I order online with Pizza Hut pretty frequency and haven't been hit with this.

Pizza Hut's "Pizza Mia" is not that bad, and super cheap. Their usual **** is horrible, but the Mia is a decent value for the price.

Pizza hut is kind of spew anyways, so no real surpise.

If I order pizza from a chain its usually Garlic Jim's or else I pick up some Papa Murphy's.

Isn't it a bit more likely that a "massive pube" is just somebody's curly hair?

Yes the women on the phone confirmed it before I even asked how I was enrolled. She said that when I ordered the Pizza I chose an option that said I would get 10$ off my next PizzaHut order. I didn't do that afaik, and I think I remember a pop-up being blocked and just Xing it. This was a few weeks ago so Im not completely sure of all the details. There is a tiny chance I clicked for the 10$ off thing but I very seriously doubt it, and if it mentioned anything about enrolling is some Complete Savings thing there is a zero% chance I did

same thing with similar company name happened to me but through an apartment finding site i signed up for for $1. i got my bank to deal with it. effing scammers. they bank off of people who dont check their statements

Not really related, but my 'ordered pizza online and got hosed' story. Not nearly as bad as fraudulent charges though.

I ordered 2 pizzas from Papa Johns website one day, got an email that said it would be 45 minutes, and hour and 20 minutes later, pizza shows up. I ordered 2 pizzas, one was a Pepperoni and one was a specialty tuscan 4 cheese pan pizza. I love these.

I opened up, took a slice of the pepperoni and then a opened up to take a slice of my beloved tuscan cheese, wtf, sausage. I called the shop, and the guy said the delivery man was coming back to pick it up and drop off my pizza "He'll be right over after he picks up the pizza from the other house, they already called, we are already aware of hte mixup". Wait, he's bringing me a pizza that has already been in someone's house? BS. I say "You aren't goign to make me a new pizza?" he replied that they are very backed up and it would be another 1 1/2 hours.

wtf, I already waited more then 30 minutes longer then I was told, and to no fault of my own was delivered the wrong pizza, and they can't bump me to a higher priority in front of the other pizzas? ugh. The part that titled me the most though was the fact that this manager couldn't wrap his dumb head around why I didn't want the pizza that had already been delivered to another, undisclosed house.

I told him I was leaving and going to leave the other person's pizza on the porch and if the delivery idiot wanted to actually pick that up and give this poor person a pizza that's been sitting on my porch, he can do that, but I wanted my order canceled altogether.

I bluffed, I stayed home with pizza in house and the guy never came back for the pizza, after 40 minutes I ate the pizza for free, but I was still pissed, I wanted my tuscan 4 cheese pan.

What they do is make an offer people won't refuse during checkout. ("$10 off your next purchase if you sign up for our monthly newsletter" or some bull**** like that.) Accept it* and the e-cart company just hands them your credit card information. Then they start charging $12/month for their "services."

When I was at school me and my friends used to go to the cinema instead of doing "physical education" and sometimes we'd go to Pizza Hut as well for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Obviously this became a competition to see who could eat the most slices. I think the record was about 15, in conjunction with a few glasses of Coke. Anyway, one time we were really pushing it and one of us puked all over his plate and table. I remember seeing it and being so close to puking myself. Maybe if we'd all had one more slice in us it'd have started off a chain reaction which would make for a better story. He then handed in his plate of puke to a waitress and got a new one.
