Do you know if Howard drinks, or gets enough water from the food he consumes?

Lol it might be interesting, but not really, as he doesn't have anywhere to go but our back yard.

And the lettuce has little nutritional value beyond water for him...that why he has a pond a shower.

Tortoises drink, get it from their food, and interesting also rehydrate by adsorbing water through their cloaca, a vent in their tail (basically their butts, which they can also breathe from!)

I believe there are a lot of sulcatas abandoned/taken to rescues, especially in CA. People don't realise they can be super destructive. They're very strong and will dig very deep and long tunnels.
