Consider if babs didn't have an actual safety net. Carrying your liferoll around with you because you always think you're gonna get robbed, raped, or both. Blogging your gambling exploits down to the penny. Then you make a few death threats online, but in his case you actually get busted for it.

Just quite drunk El D, and not really paying much attention. I processed it as a generic hotel, like a Marriott or Hilton, but once I get into the room, I realized it was a bit better than that. I also remember being shocked at how expensive everything on the breakfast menu was .

No offense meant to LJK or his story. I'm sure it was interesting. I was just threading the needle between too busy to get involved in a serious multi-post job advice discussion, and not too busy for a one post story about a transsexual hooker morning-after elevator ride.

Yeah, I am assuming the LJK being boring stuff is just ribbing, or the fact that Jolie and I were doing most of the tedious posting on it. This is the LC thread, not every topic can end with rich old ladies literally clutching their pearls in elevators.

All I am saying is if you go and start a personal blog elsewhere behind this treatment, LJK, PM me the url.

+1. Reminds me of a San Francisco story, in which I was the metaphorical Midwesterner. I lived in Monterey at the time, but I was definitely innocent to the SF lifestyle.

I do medieval reenactment as a hobby and was taking part in a ceremony at a medieval event which included a bunch of people dressed up in 15th century German Landsknecht costumes. These included a decorative leather codpiece. One girl was having trouble figuring out how to attach the thing. She got some pointers from a guy who wore them regularly and exclaimed. "Oh, just like a strap-on!"

As I did a spit-take, she looked over and said "oh dear, I think I broke Garick."

I do sporadically think of starting up a blog in House of Blogs, since I do check some of the boxes (being a solid writer who is self-absorbed), but unfortunately I always come to the conclusion that I lead too drab of an existence to create very much content. That said, I'm sure I'll continue to ponder the option.
