I don't think I've heard of 90% of the groups outside the first ten listed.

It's probably worth $200 just to see Radiohead and Wilco, so this can't be that bad of a deal. Not exactly the sickest lineup ever though (imo).

They are first going to only sell 3-day passes, then potentially 1-day passes. I bet a lot of people will shell out $200+ pretty much just for Radiohead.

I will certainly be there, and I expect it to be super sweet.

Also, valet bike parking is pretty baller, I'm excited about that.

Too many festivals. They are going to oversaturate the market.

I bet part of the popularity is how people have a shorter attention span nowadays, and are used to media in shorter lengths like youtube clips. Shorter sets and more variety, as well as an ability(at some of the festivals) to go to another stage when bored.

The Melvins festival is only $10 - $20 bucks. Most nights, its just the Melvins ... and that's all you need.

Wilco/Radiohead/Broken Social Scene and mother****ing Steve Winwood. I might go to this.

Not bad, even though way too far away, I'm thinking about the Mile High Music Festival in Denver which has TP&HB, John Mayer, DMB, Black Crowes, and others, but I don't know what tickets run for that.

Radiohead is doing a full NA/Europe tour this summer...though I suppose if this festival is their only stop in SF, you might be right.

I would pay $200 to see Wilco and Radiohead, though hopefully I'll be able to pay $100 to see them separately in Boston. not sure if Wilco is coming here or not.
