My wife got me a one year subscription to Universal Yums last December and it just occurred to me that I should've been sharing with you all pics and reviews of the monthly goodies.

This month's box arrived last week and was the UK. Already made my way through 90% of it, so too late for pics. But the offerings included a chocolate covered flapjack, lamb and rosemary crisps (BOMB), wine gummies, clotted cream toffee fudge, and some kind of pickled funyun-like chips that were so next level tangy, it made my one year old cry, and he normally loves all things pickled.
Overall, solid B because not enough things were UK specific imo.

I got a sub to Universal Yums in part for my 6yo, to kind of introduce him to the idea of geography and cultural differences... by eating strange snacks! We'd go through one snack a night and read their little blurb about it and the country, etc.

He got kind of sick of it after maybe 8-9 months, so I cancelled. And then got next month's box. I thought maybe I'd missed the cut-off for cancellation and didn't worry too much about it. Then the next month, I got a box. I checked and Universal Yums said my cancellation was "pending." Annoying. Then next month... a box. wtf. I check, and my cancellation is still "pending." I mean to check my credit card bill, but forget. The next month... a box. I check my credit card statement, I haven't been charged for any of them, I check my subscription status, still pending.

I got either 5 or 6 months after cancelling before they stopped coming, without being charged.

Never heard of Universal Yums so I went to check out their website. Front page picture is a box of various items I used to eat as a kid in Germany. Didn’t think any of those were still around these days. Definitely haven’t seen that stuff during my most recent visits eben though one of the first things I always do is go to a grocery store and hit the snack aisle.

Don't normally buy this kinda stuff, but saw these in the half price bin at my local corner store, and they looked interesting. Tangy with a slight kick to them. Very, very good.

the bags are certainly smaller.

the "party size" bags are now the size of what the regular bags used to be. the regular bags are now deli lunch bag sized.

In all seriousness need super salted pretzels recommendations over that will make me thirsty. Both frozen soft and bags are cool.

Agree with this. Didn't notice any difference in the chip itself, but I don't get Doritos often either.

I stopped eating Doritos when I found out that there's enough preservatives in a bag of them to be able to mummify a small dog.

snickers are the perfect food. When the apocalypse hits later this year I'm going to Costco and getting a couple of pallets.

Tired some of Dot's Cheese curls. They use the same seasoning as her pretzels.

For some reason, that seasoning doesn't work for me there. Won't buy again. Love the pretzels, though.

Very solid foe those that like crispy over chewy cookies. from Albertsons or Smiths, don't remember, but it is national.
