I was in the same spot. After 7 I started to feel kinda bad. The 7th was definitely a chore. I told myself at the beginning I wasn't going to put myself through a ton of pain doing this. Once it got tough I was pretty much going to stop. My buddy had set his line for me at 7 so I powered down one more to avoid a push. I tapped out after 8.

ya, I always do that when new fruit comes in when the season changes. plus they sold me barely edible mango slices last week which pissed me off. the grapes had been terrible until last week, now they're delicious. under normal circumstances its just one test strawberry but I really wanted a tasty carton per El Diablo's report that strawberries are a great accompaniment to ICSs.

when possible I test clementines in store, too. the first wave that hits the east coast are quite varied in quality. you ask the produce guy "kinda early for these? are you sure they they taste good?" they're never sure, and as long as you start peeling before you offer to split one this method works.

I was skeptical but ED was right, it was tasty. Not much of a sweets person, but I enjoyed it. They are right about it being crispy, the outer shell was super dry and crispy, excellent complement to the ice cream.
