Diet update:

About a month in and down around 20lbs which is obviously a ton of progress but at the same time a little disappointing considering how extreme I’ve been going.

My routine has been as follows: 2.5-3hrs at gym doing low-medium intensity cardio on the bike and elliptical. I’ll do some pushups and pull-ups in my apt from time to time too but basically no strength training. I just listen to music and grind 2p2 and other social media on my phone so the time flies by completely painlessly. It’s the same stuff I’d be doing sitting on my couch so I figure I might as well burn some calories while doing it. I also walk an average of around 8k steps outside per day.

Diet wise I generally eat three small meals and two or three pieces of fruit. Most of my meals are chicken on salad or a protein bowl type frozen meal. Three times I indulged a little and are around 2500 cals but generally I’ve been consuming between 1100 and 1600 calories per day. I also try to do a 12-16hr intermittent fast between dinner and breakfast. I’m hungry all the time but the $2.50 disgusting looking Marie Callender’s “SlowRoasted Beef” frozen meal tastes like a savory fine dining feast after my workout.

Diet questions: how much of the Keto diet effectiveness is in cutting carbs and how much in cutting calories by definition? I’ve been watching my calorie intake very closely but not avoiding carbs that much.

For example, everyone says carbs are so fattening but they also have way more calories. A relatively small muffin from Dunkin has 550 calories in it. A single not very large slice from sbarro has 500 calories and an entire medium pie from almost anywhere has 2200+. In comparison an entire huge bag of lettuce, spinach, or kale has something like 50 calories, and an 8oz piece of chicken or steak has only around 300 calories.

I agree. I don't blame him though, kilts can get pricey!!

One of the owners of the firm I work at got a voice mail from an owner's rep that I email with a lot. Voice mail was "I need either you or Jose to call me today."

She came over doubled in laughter saying "He thinks your name is Jose?" Apparently she thought this was so hilarious she told everyone in the office. Since then, all these mofos have been coming up to me calling me Jose.

Tell them "No way!"

Just got out of a management meeting. Apparently we are keeping lobster boy for now. He's fast at pumping out red-lines; fixing errors on plans. I guess working on adderall makes one speedy!

Plus all those lobster and alcohol lunches!

More companies should work like this. If you get the job done who cares how much it appears you are goofing off.
