Is this windows only? Can't find this target box you speak of.

I think these are parameters that you place after the path in a shortcut.
If you have a Mac I don't think you can add parameters to programs.

Yeah, but if you drink a lot you're saving a LOT of money in the long run. A bottle of Skull is dirt cheap. I'm not sure the exact price difference, but I think you're breakeven after just one fifth of Skull. Everything after that is money for the tiddies.

PS. I now have my control panel folder...
uh...
what do I do with it? Any cool tips once we actually have it?
PPS. Very cool though.

This will change the icon to a control panel icon. You can change ControlPanels to any other name you'd like.
Even better tip: Don't try this in Vista 64 just to see what will happen!

I got rid of it after searching how, this worked in Vista 64 and I can't imagine it doesn't work in 7 or 32 bit etc.

If you have trouble with this (or don’t have another computer) then you can reboot into safe mode command prompt. Then you can change directories to the desktop (cd c:\users\USERNAME\desktop). Then run the following command: rd /s “GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}” Click Y, when asked.

Username is obviously your personal folder within Users and Godmode is probably going to be controlpanels if you got the instructions from here.

I just found out it ripped some guy's arm off. That's why you don't mess with Windows.

I was even crashing in safemode(grrrr op), which is also likely to happen, so I just cut and pasted the pos folder into the recycle bin and restarted.

more like flying spaghetti monster mode AMIRITE!

It worked fine in Win 7 x64 but all it does is take all the options you can access through control panels and put them together in one folder. It doesn't actually give you any extra controls or access to anything super secret.

and they call that godmode?
godmode should be at the minimum me being able to use my monitor like a smartphone touch screen, and a more ideal situation is I can use my finger as a pointer during video games, duck hunt style.

BANG BANG!

While we are on windows...

Keep windows on a separate partition so you can format the **** out of it and reinstall as a last defense vs virus, or if windows has gotten sluggish, without losing any data.

If you already do this, then its worthwhile to change the default install directory (thus installs programs onto the non windows partition so you dont lose your stuff when you do reinstall windows) to avoid having to manually do it each time you install a program.

go to run -> regedit
in regedit navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entversion
click current version and the parameters come up in the main window, double click Programfilesdir (or Programfilesdir(x86)) and change the C: to a mother****ing D: (or whatever your non windows partition is.

Now when you install a program it defaults to D:\programfiles and your windows drive stays windows only

+1

Also move your postgres data directory (instructions are in the HEM faqs) to the non-Windows install partition so you can safely format your Windows partition and point the new postgres install to the old data. Restoring from a backup file is slow and crap.

Where does Windows keep the registry keys for your programs? Wouldn't you lose those when you format the windows partition?

Are you guys talking about in a browser, where it zooms in/out the text? lol noobs.

You can also hit Alt+F4 to close an app quickly, and ctrl V to paste

CTRL + D will minimize everything. Man discovering that when I was 14 = clutch

As far as the browser zoom goes, yes, it's very useful, especially as you use larger monitors. You can even set it to zoom just text. In firefox you just go in view-> Zoom.

To do it In IE you simply navigate to www.firefox.com install that quickly add on and then go from there.

On a PC, you can use your middle finger to "right click" allowing a menu to pop up, this offers a million options at your disposal instantly.

MAC JOKE. BOOM ROASTED
