It's an improvement over regular pillows.

If it's really hot I guess I can see it, but otherwise I can't imagine wanting a cold pillow. My head is generally not that hot.

Why don't you guys just turn the heat down?

Sometimes I bring the heat underneath the blankets. Duh.

Life Trick 101

Leave a bottle of water near frequently passed spaces in your home. At the top of staircases, next to your bed, in your office, outside the bathroom door, in the middle of long hallways, in the laundry room, in the crawlspace, in the library, in the attic, by the theater room, etc.

Any frequently passed areas, leave a bottle of water. A fridge is always too far.

Best cool pillow imo:

I like to keep my bedroom at 15*F at night. If there's no risk of frostbite than it's not cold enough.

Frozen peas were prescribed to me for icing when I got my vasectomy. Would have been nice if they specified to keep them in the package. Thanks, Doc.

Connect your electric blanket to a smart plug and set it to go on at 9pm (or whatever time is well before you go to bed)

Or just turn down the heater/ turn up the AC before you go to bed.

what the hell does this mean? I can't picture what you're doing.

Get silk pillow cases or ones from Sheex and get a cooling pillow. They work.

I like diving into ice cold covers. It rids me of excess surface temperature, which makes me sleepy.

So you don't like being sleepy when you go to sleep?

It's the ridding part that makes me sleepy.

Not sure if this is a common thing, but my uncle got me into putting malt vinegar on chili. You can mix it in, or just float it on top. I like the latter better.

Grunching, so I apologize if this has already been mentioned, but re: cool pillows & sheets--

In our dorms back in college we didn't have AC and so the first few weeks and last few weeks of the school year were unbearably hot and muggy. I would put a couple pillowcases in the mini fridge in our room during the day and it made for a lovely sleeping treat at night. I eventually did the same with my sheet. Everyone thought I was nuts but I convinced a couple friends to try it, and soon enough everyone in the dorm was doing it.

Still couldn't get laid tho

I bought a cooling pillow but it's not really that cold. Keep wondering if a more expensive one would work better? I don't even sleep with the heat on in winter and I still like a cold pillow and sheets. Keeping an extra pillow handy is quite nice for a cool change.

I do that sometimes to take the "heat" out of chili (and some other foods) if it is too spicy. I generally prefer red wine vinegar to malt vinegar though.
