There really isn't a more encouraging cue for the success of one's draft strategy than that yeti doesn't like it.

Not sure what era exactly constitutes Clark's OOT 'peak,' but I'm sure I'll be happy to be reminded of it. Strap-on thread def. classic.

with Euro, clark and daryn, what you definitely have on Jag Forum is beyond-elite post defense. [undrafted] would definitely be proud, but I'm concerned at who the hell you're going to find as a bulk poster at this stage who won't just be insta-nuked. Still plenty of gems left, though.

Al was definitely a good niche value in that he was the #1-with-a-bullet prospect on our 'disingenuous passive-aggressive nitfreak fake-nice douchebag' list but understandably that's not a category we feel any great urgency to start filling at this point in the draft. Thus we feel Al is a bit of a luxury pick.

Suzz, with all respect and admiration, is just a gigantic reach at this stage. Brings a lot of good things to the table as a role poster but can't justify taking him at this stage.

i think i had started to read OOT regularly when the forum was beginning to split, and i found the OOT regulars generally too circle jerk-y.
This is a big surprise

With this draft moving along so crisply (really pleased , you guys) I'd say that if we run into a rash of difficulties after this next pick, it would be fine to shut the clock off early and just say pick-as-pick-can until Tuesday morning. It would give people time to rework their boards, catch up on writeups, so forth.

Yeah my "board" is not nearly organized enough to offer much insight. I'm sure euro and tone have an mspaint of an excel spreadsheet with weighted formulas and **** though. Or else its all just in tones head.

Cardo I feel pretty confident just has a bunch of avatars scribbled in frantic crayon on the backs of pizza boxes and the margins of cormac macarthy paperbacks

While I probably don't agree with this it is nonetheless pretty hilariously written. Well, I agree that he almost certainly went too high although I do enjoy him as a poster.

I wouldn't really call these complaints per se, but Al's paranoia about his picture being posted (as evidenced by the pains he went to have it edited from the LA happy hour thread) and privacy in general is pretty lol, and the whole Owl debacle should probably cost him - and to a lesser degree LFS - some draft value because the whole "write like a ****** so they won't put the pieces together" shtick was awful.

I have a hand written list of about 75 I thought of off the top of my head. I've been crossing them off as I go. There is no real order though, so it's kinda useless

You have no idea. This isn't normal respect for privacy or concern about his employer finding him out stuff we're talking about. His is more the "bugs crawling under my skin and aliens are on the lawn waiting to kidnap me if I open the door" meth paranoia variety.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, the "hide your identity by posting like an idiot" with The Owl was 100% Al. I started with The Owl because I didn't want to troll as Los Feliz Slim but had some harsh words I wanted to say to somebody (UNDRAFTED AND I HIGHLY DOUBT WILL BE DRAFTED PERSON I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE). I may or may not have been a mod at the time.

In short, yes, for a time I used The Owl to post things that I didn't think were OK to post as Los Feliz Slim, but all the negative Owl **** is on Al and I am the one who banned the account.

A person that concerned with their privacy shouldn't be attending a forum meetup where a TR with pics are a given.

Fly is a super pick imo. Off our board for obvious reasons, but he spent most of the '07-'08 season as the legitimate forum MVP, and that ain't no jive in a Diablo-dominated setting. His peak is absolutely ridiculous in terms of bulk * efficiency. Still something of a role poster for much of his career, but he's super value in this format.

I'm sure people will say it's early but **** it I love me some FlyWF. Debating prowess, can mix it up with some one liners and a serious challenger for OOT MVP at getting those who dislike him irate.

I also don't think any other poster has had outrage levelled their way when they changed there avatar and location, causing him to change it straight back.

You have to ensure there's no politics forum associated with yours though, otherwise he's going to get his ass banned every month though.

Euro so smart. From this morning while discussing our board:

(8:33:07 AM) EuroChatName: Omar will be an easy fade, pudge and triumph may come up with something like that, but I think they're more likely to get their homeboy FlyWf

Fly is also very good at getting uppity about racialized issues, which is always a traffic driver.

big FlyWF fan, but seems a tad early to me considering the heavyweights that are still out there. eviljeff/Fly is a pretty sick combo though.
