The bride is awesome, I love her. Her parents gave her $1500 and said, "good luck". That's when RoundGuy took the reins and said, "you get what you want".

Yes, it would definitely be inconsiderate of people to not respond one way or another. If THIS has become the actual grievance then your position will no longer be crazy. Your storyteller rating would take another beating though.

spouse and i eloped 17 years ago this month. hired a local justice of the peace to hitch us and also hired a photographer that served as our witness.

the series of posts above reinforce our decision to do so.

We watched one of our next door neighbors being carried out of her home in a body bag yesterday morning. We didn't know whether it was the husband or wife until a couple of hours ago, so we felt it was too awkward to go visiting. Now that we know, we'll walk over tomorrow if there aren't a lot of cars there.

Her obit said there is visitation and a memorial service Sunday, but we won't be attending a group event like that. LOL @ even considering going to a wedding.

It was just earlier tonight that I said you were mad at people not attending, and you scaled it back to "disappointed." Presumably disappointed in the people.

It's entirely possible I've misread your various posts about this, but I don't think I was alone. And if everyone misread your posts then it means you sucked at writing them. Which is what I had just said; that maybe your position was always reasonable, but that you brought it across just terribly.
