As a kid at my first school, our teacher used to check the toilets before every recess due to redback spiders being so prevalent there.

There's also this ad on atm for a current affairs show about how prevalent snakes are atm and flash onto all these different snakes in different parts of the house. I realise it is scare mongering but the image of the freaking snake in the toilet now means I have to turn on the toilet light if I have to make an overnight dash which ends up waking me up and I can't get back to sleep. I'm almost positive that should be enough to sue the show.

Probably could have gotten an emotional support black widow before Golf ****ed everything up.

Around 12 years ago I checked into a beach side bungalow on an island in the south of Thailand with some friends we were travelling with. We all went to our bungalows to drop our bags off etc, and had planned to meet up at the bar ten minutes later. About 20 minutes passed and there was still no sign of one of the couples. It turns out they'd gone to their bungalow and discovered a massive snake in their shower that had apparently come up through the drain and out into the shower cubicle. Still freaks me out thinking about it. The local who ran the place apparently just shrugged, went to their bungalow, picked the thing up and tossed it out into the brush. Problem solved. I hated walking back after dark from that point and would literally run back to my room taking as big a leaps as possible on the way.

I'm not going to deny racism exists in Australia but lol at being Asian being a legitimate reason not to visit here. I'm pretty sure the Chinese account for the vast majority of tourists to Australia.
