Well she did say she lives in an area with lots of fat/ugly people, and she's a girl on an Internet dating site, so you can't really blame her.

First off, thanks to TheDean and many others for all the great input. Just got caught up on the thread and the obvious for me is to get a profile pic update. Which to answer TheDean's question, I have a friend who is a photographer and is very reasonably priced, but we're not close enough friends where I wouldn't feel a little weird telling him what the picture would be all about. Further, I'm not sure how to make a professional shot look non-staged. On the plus side, he probably does so I have to just man up and address it with him. My pic is so bad now, the only upside is that I clearly look better in person.

Csaba - one thing I want to mention that hasn't been yet is DO NOT use the word stalker" in any context, ever, at least not early on in exchanges. Merely using the word will lead to her associating it with you, which has obvious negative connotations. This is something I've read a few times and agree strongly with. Even if the stalking is implicit, don't use that word or similar, it can only hurt.

Yeah dean says it's a go, personally I think it's bad but he's a lot more successful than I am. If you do use the S word please give us an update, it would be a good data point either way.

Sounds perfect, I'd go w/ him for sure. I wouldn't sweat being judged, it's a practical thing to try and I think most people understand how hard it is to meet new people after graduating college.

Just for clarity I don't give this a raging green light. I suspect that he can get away w/ it if done properly after meeting her and being liked enough to merit interest for another date, but that's purely conjecture and I still would avoid mentioning it if possible.

I said "I'm self employed, I have my own business and I coach baseball lessons for kids ages 8-16 on the side."

She said "personal business, what does it involve?"

She's a 25 year old HS teacher. I need a good lie here, and pronto.

Try "Stop coming off like such a ****ing gold digger you lousy bitch"

I keep all my job things something stupid and if people get nosy I just go straight for the throat. Probably not good advice but whatever. I usually say "Why, is money important to you?"

Message a girl, she replies and asks why I messaged her. Blah blah about profile but then I add that since you love football I definitely had to message you. She messages back saying she had season tickets with her dad and played flag football over the summer. I'd like to give my number in this reply so do I ask her if she'd like to watch the games at a bar or should I go with something more generic and give my number? need advice on what my play should be.

Ok I'm caving in I figure the collective OOT can help me improve my profiles better then I could.

OKC:
http://www.okcupid.com/profile/CbusKevin

Match
http://www.match.com/profile/Show?UI...Handle=Kevn911

Facebook to help me find pictures worth if I have any:
https://www.facebook.com/kevin.kuntz.547

My plan for OKC is to delete and start over. I don't like the name and need a new one I think. Plus I've answered close to a billion questions. Might need to answer less next time. Match I think I'm stuck with the name.

So here's what I want help with:
-Changing my profile and other pictures to get more attention. I'm a fairly good looking guy I've lost about 10 lbs of fat in the last 3 months and gained 10 lbs of muscle so I think I need a new photo for my profile because pretty much only fatties message me. What should I wear in it? Obviously won't be of me doing some cool activity but if I or someone else takes it at a home how can I make it great.
-Updating my summaries, about me, etc... I feel like I might be a bit too open in them but I want them to still have my personality. What can I trim or add that would make me sound more appealing/interesting?
-What should my new name be for match?

Feel free to PM or IM me(kuntzud11) if you wanna talk about it in depth. I would really appreciate any help.

Have a field day critiquing. I'm sure there is plenty to make fun of.

Just had the biggest "holy ****!" moment of my online dating career.

Do you guys remember, earlier in the thread I mentioned that when I was younger I had a hot blonde invite me to sleep with her "as long as I kept my hands to myself" and I blew it?

So I'm chatting with this girl on BPM, using the business line to initiate conversation. She mentions that she's not even in town yet, but she'll be here soon. I ask where she's from, and she gives the name of a small Midwestern city. It so happens I've lived in this city before, and I look closely at her profile and it is indeed her.

The odds on that have gotta be pretty long. Now this was all the way back in 2007, she's 27 instead of 22 now, and has 2 kids.Needless to say, she's not nearly as hot, but still.

I messaged this to her, and she's yet to respond. Given this, I think I was better off calling her a gold digging bitch, as KPowers suggested.

Ice: You can re-answer questions and I think you can also un-answer questions. Your name is generic enough that nobody will give a crap. It's your call obviously but whatever.

Change all your pics and most of your profile and nobody will even remember.

I recently had my best friends little sister get matched up with me and find my profile on OKC. Obviously telling my best friend and getting some great laughs at my expense. I have known her since she was 5 and I was 10 so it was kinda strange that we got matched up on a dating site.

I'm kinda liking the "ThinIce" name. This has been my handle for everything since I got on a computer so I it would be cool to keep some of it.

Thoughts?
