It honestly looks like ****. I bought it brand new in 2000 and I often mention that too, if the car makes an unexpected appearance.
Sounds like the perfect hand-me-down candidate! Nothing to be ashamed of for sure, but each car has their own special way of freaking out when rust/paint age comes into play

Hey do you guys have any go-to/default messages that you send out? I have a couple myself that I'm curious to compare with, but I don't wanna skew any responses so I'd like to hear yours first. They're pretty simple though, don't expect much

I drive a 2001 Dodge Intrepid with over 200K miles. I've thought about getting a new car but decided against spending the money when this one runs so well.

My income is average and I live by myself in a decent house, so I have that in my favor.

"lol, no" has my highest response rate by a pretty huge margin.

you quoted me instead of the guy you meant to quote, but yep- either way he shouldn't 'need' it but that doesn't mean it won't have good results

You don't like this car? It's a total chick magnet!" Or something along those lines. I have some other line, but can't think of it right now.

Again, I actually have a good job, which helps a lot. I also will often explain that I'm keeping it for another year so I can give it to my niece when she starts driving, which happens to be true.
Don't waste time with any woman who gives a damn about the car you drive, jesus. Those kind of women are to be avoided at all costs.

this is awful logic. your car says a lot about you, especially if you claim to be a professional gambler.

"professional gambler" + >10 year old car that's falling apart, worth no more than a few hundred bucks screams "loser with a gambling addiction", not "guy who has his **** together". almost any quality girl will run fast when that's the first impression you give off.

fwiw I've gone on dates in some pretty cool cars and some pretty lame ones and I'm pretty sure zero ****s were given either way.

One girl did judge me for driving a wagon instead of an SUV, but other than that, uhh... almost nothing.

I'd say as long as your car doesn't stand out for being dirty or loud or have a missing bumper etc. you are probably fine.

One online girl, before our date, texted 'were you in the city today driving a red [some car]?'. When I called her to say I was outside her place she said something like 'I can see you from my window, what kind of car is that?'

I drive an okay car but I found her thinly veiled interest in defining me by my ride extremely tacky. In a way it made me wish I arrived in a total beater.

From everything I've heard, cars only matter if they are in like the top 2% or the bottom 2%. Otherwise, girls don't really pay any attention as long as the interior is reasonably clean.

I have a still pretty nice though now 10-year-old sports coupe, but I have access to a ton of amazing cars through my step father. He has like 25 cars in his collection. Think it would help me get some to show up on a date with one of those new McLarens or an R8?

I went on a date a couple months ago with a girl who mentioned she wanted some kind of micro car. I admitted to having one and she got really excited. I didn't mention that it was my second car. A bit later we walk back to the car I had brought to take a drive somewhere else and she is visibly disappointed to see a brand new Nissan GT-R instead of a micro car. Most women won't be impressed with a nice car, although I do think a real POS will be a turnoff.

You drive a Nissan GTR? I now have a different opinion of you, shouldn't have said that on the internet.

Infiniti G35 Coupe, though I did own a Ford Probe GT when I was in college.

My step father has a GT-R as well. He had some Stillen mods done to it, and he says it's his fastest car at 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.

I must say I've seen women mention cars multiple times on online dating sites. Each time, there complaint was with men who did not have a car at all. I've never seen one complain about men driving beaters. That said, I know it's a turn off.

Thanks. Overall, I'm just a little lost on how to make my profile competitive on these types of sites. I understand that you want t stand out and be funny, but it's tough for me to come up with anything like that without feeling really out of character. Are there any general tips you would recommend?

I understand. I was in a relationship throughout most of college, and my first year and a half in the city, so I feel like I'm a little behind in the game. I have definitely gotten dates from friends of friends and from meeting people through parties. I just thought that going online would increase the chances of finding girls that I like.

Pursuing a woman who cares about the car you drive is a GREAT way to find yourself a materialistic gold digger. Have fun with that if that's what you are after.

Almost no one has a car in London as there is literally no need for one. I have a decent car which is a small bonus, but even if I drove an incredible car I don't think my date would really care even if she was shallow. And lol at driving to and from dates like you guys do, how to you get drunk?!

There much more of a lax attitude towards drink driving in America than in UK.

London has really good public transit. Most places in the states have really terrible public transportation.

What does this have to do with anything? People drink and drive all over the world, harsh laws don't mean anything.
