I'm not sure who came up with it, wish I could give credit where it's due.

"Well, I have to assume one of two things happened. Either you're on George Clooney's yacht somewhere or I got buried beneath a pile of dudes doing the duckface in the mirror. One of those things I can do something about...the other, well...I don't blame you."

Clooney line needs updating IMO, George is happily married now and no longer entertaining scores of women on yachts...one would think

Funny reading old posts ITT. Reading your old comments about a dating situation and having no clue who the girl could have been

Update it to DiCaprio, imo. He just dates supermodels.

So I got a second date with the finance girl from the UES yesterday. We met near her flat. Gastropub. Alas, she is on some weird paleo type diet. She had 2 cocktails to my 3. I teased her about her diet. The dinner convo went well. The weather was great yesterday so we took a walk. We sat in a park and made out. She was really into me but not enough to invite me to her flat. I tried; I asked. But no dice. She was very receptive and texted me this morning. Looks like a 3rd date is a strong possibility.

The coffee date on Saturday went great! We had great chemistry. She loves backgammon and gambling. She is really easy to talk to. She mentioned she had a tramp stamp and that she was giving away all her secrets! I actually liked her very much. We are having scheduling issues for a second date but it might be a go, eventually. I get good vibes from her.

The other girl from Queens went dark for a while. I texted her and she texted back in less than 20 mins. She is very cute.

Now I feel like I have 3 girls that I like and perhaps like me too. Haven't "sealed the deal" with any of them but I am genuinely attracted to them physically and mentally and I am getting good vibes from all. Now we'll see where it goes.

Woman who I've corresponded with for awhile just let me know she got laid last weekend.
Whyyyyy???

Is this a test?
Or letting me know I'm not getting with her?
FWIW,our schedules never match and I thought we were just friends with potential, maybe when her job got closer and I got more free time.....????

"k"

pretty easy

You probably don't have any hope -- but not because she said that.

Well, you may be right, cause I took Joe's advice and straight up asked her why she would mention that.
It digressed into her upset that I wasn't making more of an effort to see her more often.
Just got a naked snap chat of her goodies with the caption "too bad".

Oh well....

Question. I haven't really done much online dating at all, actually 0 besides tinder which has always worked out great for me, and I've been in relationships a lot. I just moved to a new city and for some reason here tinder is nearly nonexistent (scrolled through it in 45 minutes). I've always loathed dating sites and it feels super creepy to fill out a profile and stuff, but now I have found out that while tinder game here is nonexistent for some reason everyone is on plentyoffish (I talked about this with someone at a bar randomly and checked it out, it's true). There seems to be infinite hot women there in this area, much more than ever on tinder in any city, whereas in my previous city/country I was under the impression no one used anything but tinder unless they were really desperate. So I guess I have to make this my new tinder.

Now I have 0 experience about this site and it seems confusing. There are seemingly multiple ways to stumble across someone's profile etc. So what's the "standard" way to contact someone? If I like their profile do I just shoot a quick message, or should it be via the meet me game like tinder, or something else? I guess my confusion comes from how on tinder you always have to match to start talking, so it's already been confirmed you like each other, whereas here it seems so weird to talk to total randoms?

Sorry about the noob question, I indeed am one when it comes to online dating besides random tinder hookups.

edit: Got 5 messages from random women in the first hour, all ugly tho, but guess this is how it's done then?

Chuck, How old are you?

My preference is to use a site like POF. I actually like a site much much better than tinder. You can search using preferences if you loggin on desktop and screen for things like Kids, body type, etc. I prefer OKC because the girls seem smarter, but it could be a regional thing.

How to message a girl is a bit of an art. You say more than "Hey hows it going?" but don't write a novel. I think the best approach is to message 3 - 7 sentences. A comment about something in their profile or picture and then an open ended question.

Phat, I think Chuck is looking for more like a GTO tutorial on POF. I'd be interested in that too actually. When I did try to use that site, I felt overwhelmed by the options.

Just joined meetup.com and there's a decent selection of attractive women in my city. Anyone have success sending dating-oriented direct messages on here?

Yeah exactly. I'm confident in my messaging skills, just seems really weird to shoot random fish in a barrel since there's no obvious "matching" like on tinder.

Meetup is great. I had some success on there when I was single. Just join all the fitness groups as well as wine lovers. Also go to running clubs.
