it takes a while to get used to 3d touch. sifting through email is marginally faster.

I find 3D Touch the most useful in Instagram. looking forward to more app integrations.

I thought Live Photos would be a gimmick but they're pretty sweet. I just wish there was better ways to share them.

Got the iPhone 6s, and I like it other than the fact that I can't connect to my ****ing wifi at home. Connected fine at work. Get home and I keep getting an incorrect password message. Obviously it's the right password though. I read an entire thread with 20 different "fixes" and nothing has seemed to work. I'm pretty ****ing irate over it since I just switched to a data plan to lower my bill.

Do you have some weird encryption type on your router?

Perhaps try resetting the router to factory settings?

Did all of that. Reset the phone, reset the router, reset network settings on the phone, changed the router ssid, change the password, removed the security settings on the router, soft reset the phone, and wiped it clean. Pretty much everything I could think of.

The weird thing is i connect fine at work, just not at home. Drivers on home router are all up to date and all that business. I even removed the wpa2 security on the router and left it completely open and still couldn't connect with my phone.

I'll be burnt if I have to send it back in.

Any more ideas?

Get a new router? It works on other routers

I had internet that started being spotty and really slow etc and it turns out it was my router going bad

Got a new router and all problems solved

It seems like cell phone data prices are still highway robbery.

Are there any other devices that connect via wifi and/or have you tried to connect other devices wifi to that router?

Same here. I just used a paper clip on mine.

Unlimited data, it's just that only the first 5gb/mo are LTE. Goes to slower speed data after that.

My MacBook will connect to my home router still no problem. Every other device still connects as usual too.

When I got the new iPhone, it connected to the wifi at sprint, and still will connect at work no problem.

I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I saw someone suggest getting a new router which i really shouldn't have to do just to get a ****ing phone to connect to wifi. I've gone through every Apple forum and have done almost every recommended fix too.

Try it at friends houses and at local businesses with wifi

If it works everywhere else then maybe it's your router and not the phone...if 100 wifi networks work and just yours doesn't, would you think that's your network or the device that works everywhere else? (Note: I'm not suggesting you really try it at 100 different places)

The router could be going bad; perhaps it's only allowing already known devices on it...can you try to add a different new device to the wifi (someone else's phone that hasn't connected to yours before, perhaps?)

Have you tried searching online for general router troubles, not apple troubles? You may find an answer if you don't limit yourself to apple devices because it may not be a problem with the phone

I did a quick search and there are tons of sites talking about various devices not connecting to router but to other wifi networks

This is very very unlikely to be your phone

Try a different channel (use 5 or 6)

Switch router to g only (not a/b/n/ac/etc)

Is your router ac enabled? Your iPhone may be your only device capable of ac if you don't have a newer laptop/tablet. Maybe the ac isn't working so forcing it to g or n will help

Basically, either you expand search to router issues, not iPhone issues, and get lucky enough to figure it out or you get a new router because something is wrong with yours (you said latest firmware so I assume you updated it; perhaps something went wrong there)

Returning the phone does nothing for you because another device in the future will have the same problem with that router unless you figure it out or replace it

I never really considered it being a router issue because it's a pretty specific issue that has only happened on my new iPhone. Also because it's pretty well documented through various forums that it is an issue with iPhones. Most have been resolved by simple restarts of the phone or router, but I haven't been so lucky.

I already tried switching wifi channels. Apparently Apple products work better on channel 11 specifically? Not sure why, but I read that in a dev forum I think.

I'll try your other suggestions later when i get home. Haven't tried switching router to g only. Not sure how I do that exactly, but I do remember seeing that as a potential fix.

Thanks for your suggestions.

+1. This is basically the best plan ever.

It's also well documented that it is an issue with samsungs and windows laptops and playstations and a million other devices.

The hardest part about troubleshooting is not making assumptions about the cause as that can cause you to never find solution

Like if I plug devices into my outlet and they don't work and they don't have GFIC sticker and there are no breakers tripped then I may assume the outlet is broken but really it was just on the same circuit as another outlet that was GFIC and was tripped

Well, I finally fixed the issue. All it took was disabling my wireless access permissions list and it connected immediately. I feel like an ass for not trying that sooner.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Ok I upgraded to 6s.

I'm running OS X 10.6.8 and iTunes 11.8. Im trying to connect my new iPhone butiTunes won't recognize it and I have to install a new iTunes 12? but that requires OS X 10.8?

Is there anything I can do?

You're on a really old version of OS X, this page says 10.8.5 is minimum supported OS: http://www.apple.com/iphone-6s/specs/

If it says you need higher versions, then download the higher versions.

Seems pretty self-evident.

I thought maybe there might be a work around. I ended up upgrading OS X. Took about a hour.

What do you guys browse 2+2 with on your iphone 6's? I used the twoplustwo app on my iPhone 5 but it doesn't seem optimally sized for the 6 now
