He looks too mad to rock a monocle. At this point it would have fallen out in outrage.

When did you tell her to be home?

~9:00p

That should mean she'll be home before 8.

It probably means she'll let the guy finish in her mouth to avoid clean-up and be in the door by 10:30.

I AM SO DAMN FUNNY

I thought the same as dids, minus the in mouth part. I think 7:30-8 is reasonable. That's an hour to an hour and a half at the bar.

Hmmmmm. Now that you mention it I can see where it might appear that he's mad but he isn't. He's as happy as a clam.

You should see what happens when he meets new people, like at Starbucks. He flattens down those huge ears and squiggles/wiggles up to them w/ his tail in a frenzy of motion. Women fling themselves on dogs like this. It happened w/ Benjamin also. If I thought it would work I'd buy a Westie costume and wear it to a nightclub.

Edit: HAYA!!!!!! That's what I'm talking about! Tx, I'll send it off to the family!

I'd say 9pm also.

3 hours is only not long if you're young. This is a married person, 3 hours at a bar is a marathon.

You are very fortunate, because the one night of the year where this plan is acceptable is quickly approaching. Enjoy your Halloween!

thats not the only marathon she's participating in

This is a happy hour meetup, not a night out. And at a Chilis ffs. 3 hours is forever.

"Not too long" = 1-1.5 hrs.
"Stay awhile" = 1.5-2.5 hrs.
"All night"= 2.5 hrs+

imo.

Couple reasons I am pissed. First, she is a super lightweight and has a 30 minute drive ahead of her. Even just nursing drinks for 2 hrs would make me question her ability to drive, moreso then I do when she is sober because lol women. Second, if I had know she wasn't going to be home by like 8 I would have done something myself. Instead I ate frozen chicken pot pie and am watching this awful CIN-PHI game.

You can work yourself into a lather and ruin the rest of the night.

Or you could call her, let her know you were concerned and miss her and have a happy spouse head home to you.

You are getting laid tonight. Quit whining.

I am a married person. And if she's a half hour away from home it's only 2.5 hours.

This. And when she called to invite you, you could have asked when she planned on being home, instead of guessing based on "not too long" so you could have made plans or not, depending on the answer you received.

Meh, not really that pissed about it. It's just inconsiderate on her end and is a little frustrating. Add in that I was out of town for work Monday-Thursday of this week and am gone Monday-Thursday of next so I haven't really seen her and would like to and its like a 3.5 on a 1-10 scale.

Yeah, I guess. Since I was thinking "not too long" was definitely sub 2 hours I didn't think it was worth it to drive 30 minutes each way to meet her up there. Knowing now that it was really 3.5+ I would have met her. Hence my posting over the definition of what "not too long" meant to people.

Anyway, she called like 10 minutes ago saying she is on her way home. 10:00 is definitely past a reasonable idea of "not too long."

When she told you not too long, she really believed it. Then you get talking and drinking....

Your decision what kind of weekend you'd like to spend with her.

How long have you been married?

Keep 'em coming! I've got my photobucket account opened w/ plenty of room.

CMAR is indeed killing this page with those awesome shops.

My mom joined a roller derby team and broke her ankle at the first practice. She didn't even get a cool nickname yet. Now she's using it to get me to come visit her and mow her lawn.

Also, had you asked her to give you an actual time, instead of some vague answer, she would have been more likely to check her watch, realize how late its getting, and make her way home to you. If you don't have a definite timeline, it's really easy to lose track of how long you're really doing something, especially if it's fun.
