I cannot believe I missed this! I am so depressed right now.

Thoughts: I'm impressed by the court reporter somehow being able to ascertain in near real-time that the proceedings were being recorded/streamed. Not sure how that happened - not like the Zoom participants had a record button they could click.

I don't think a beast is going to prevail here, but he did somewhat better than I expected, minus the whole calling in vs. video, and then walking around and always being on mute and having the video drop repeatedly thing. Yeah, he got ranty, but his whole "case" is pretty much that that people were mean to him on the Internet.

Admo did better than I would have, and whatever on the laughing thing. He let the plaintiff take some liberties, so I don't think it was too uncouth.

That said, as Howard mentioned, he missed some chances to really hammer home that the website in question is nothing more than a collection of the plaintiff's own words.

The extortion thing was a bit sketchy at the beginning, but Admo did mention that the plaintiff essentially asked for the website to be created as a way to vouch for his own debt repayment. To me, that is materially different than saying "I'm going to put up a website if you don't give me $350".

I also thought that a plaintiff would have to prove monetary damages rather than just saying that you endured exactly $10,000 worth of agony, but IANAL.

Prediction: Case dismissed.

He kept referring to his rape fantasies as "a couple of jokes". I wonder if the judge found the humor in any of them?

I wonder if the judge has a daughter, and if so, does she use Uber, lol.

I would imagine the ruling will come out fairly quickly. I don't think Judge Broderick will want to sit on this one for a long time.

How can the judge make a ruling if he hasn't even met you, per se?

This. Judge Broderick kept lobbing suggestions as to where a real case could be made, and the plaintiff thought them to be distractions in his epic rant. I doubt Judge Broderick will now feel the need to delve deeper in this case which already has proven to be a burden with more than 35 observers, a giggling defendant, a ranting plaintiff and a witness that Judge Broderick did not think to be particularly interesting.
