I think Big Buford is a great name for a hamburger.

One thing I know for sure: Checker's frozen fries are the best thing going. They make potato giant Ore-Ida hide in shame.

Maybe i'm late to the party but I was at Wendys yesterday and upgraded my combo to Baconator fries for the first time. I was a little skeptical about how good they would be but I was pleasantly surprised. The fries came with melted cheese and crispy bacon. There were enough toppings that even my last fry had cheese/bacon on it.

The only downside was I felt like a POS ordering a Baconator combo and also upgrading to Baconator fries. I will definitely get them again however.

Spicy chicken is great at Checkers. Very flavorful.

I'm always disappointed in Checkers spicy chicken. As far as the cheap spicy chickens go Carl's Jr has the best one by a wide margin, then maybe Checkers, maybe McD's due to the value. I get two and make it a double spicy McChicken. I should do that at Carl's...but not sure about being able to handle that much greatness.

Recently drove out of my way to check out Farmer Boys, in part thanks to this thread. Fried Zucchini and Onion Rings were A+, wish there were more locations in Northern California. Farmer Burger was alright, fresh but not extraordinary and not great value. Will definitely go back though when I need a fresh order of onion rings.

Had a pastrami and egg salad sandwich from a Denver Deli claiming it was some kind of Bronx sandwich. Is this the kind of thing you can get all over the place in NY?

I was pretty hungry at lunch yesterday and, for whatever reason, was craving some Taco Bell. So I ordered the following, spending an astronomical (for Taco Bell) $8.xx:



I ate it all in one sodium-filled sitting and it was actually pretty decent by Taco Bell standards. The Cap'n Crunch Berries were probably the worst part because they were basically lukewarm. I can imagine them being pretty tasty if they were fresh and hot.

The real downside is that, over the next several hours I felt more and more sluggish/disgusting. I couldn't eat any dinner and, by 11pm or so, it was 50/50 that I was going to vomit. Overall, I've got to rank this as a B experience in the immediate lunchtime period and a D+ experience overall. Net damage:
