Gotta admit I'm not a huge fan of Chick-Fil-A Nuggets. The breading is just kinda weak and doesn't have much flavor. Their sandwiches are much better than the nuggets imo.

I believe yeota was supporting Wendy's spicy chicken >>> CFA spicy chicken too so not surprising.

Either his taste buds are busted or he goes to the WOAT CFA in North America.

Yeah, it's a close comparison if it's the old Wendy's Spicy Chicken, but the newer version (I feel like they changed it like 3-4 years ago) just isn't nearly as spicy and doesn't have nearly as much flavor.

cfa spicy is plenty spicy...and good. you may not like it/the flavor profile whatever. but it's light years ahead of wendy's(which is definitelty doable) come on it's a sandwich marketed to the masses...what do you expect pure fire?

Feel like it's been longer than that but yes, Wendy's spicy patty used to be bigger/juicier with better breading, I agree. Still was never as good as CFA spicy.

Consumer reports 2014 fast food survey-

I had never heard of Habit Burger or Portillo's. Has anyone tried these?

Portillos is Chicago based and delicious.

Seems way less "fast food" than the other entrants.

Have never heard of or seen anyone mention The Habit Grill.

They don't mention the margin of error in their survey, but with hardees and carls jr differeing by 0.3, it's certainly not negligible.

Habit is a very solid burger, have a handful here in San Diego.

Portillo's has great Chicago style dogs and other Chicago classics that include Italian beef. Most locations are in Chicagoland but there are at least two locations in Southern California that I've seen, including near Knott's Berry Farm.

I'm pretty sure I've posted about Habit in this thread. It's like In n Out with marginally worse burgers and appreciably better fries.

Went to The Habit a couple of weeks ago. Got this burger:

Very tasty. Not really a fair comparison since it has avocado but I would rate it higher than a DblDbl at In-N-Out.

Portillo's confirmed awesome as well. Have to make an excuse to go to Orange County so I can get a Combo Sandwich: Italian Beef & Sausage.

Was this a people survey or blind taste test? Seems California weighted.

Portillos is so good. Wife's family is from a Chicago burb and I make sure to crush Italian beef subs at least twice a visit. Inlaws even shipped me some direct for my bday.

Here's a link ($74 delivered). It's a lot of food.

Be sure to toast the sub rolls so the beef/gravy juice doesn't disintegrate the bread.

got a spicy chicken and nuggets. was fine. nothing special. not spicy at all. nuggets were real chicken, but pretty small and not very crispy.

You're the same guy who likes eating chicken out of a can right?

Portillos is amazing. Italian beef double dipped with hot peppers is the way to go. Chicago dogs are also excellent. My go-to at the Habit is the grilled tuna. Extremely tasty and not an item you find every day on a fast food menu. Their onion rings are also stellar. Both came to AZ within the last few years. Portillos is the one I would drive out of my way to make sure I didn't miss.

This is a pretty good list but I don't understand the acute hate for Au Bon Pain. I go there probably 4-6 times a year, not great or anything, but not bad. I'm mostly getting breakfast sandwiches though so YMMV.

Up in the northwest for a few days so gonna stop into burgerville for the pepper bacon burger and a shake. Was hoping to see a taco time since it's been over 10 years but doesn't seem to be any around

can confirm portillos is elite, italian beef with hot peppers or beef and cheddar with hot peppers is all i've ever tried there but they were both excellent.
