It's far more criminal that's it's $10 for 4 oz of meat, rice, beans, and lettuce/salsa. And $2.50 for chips/salsa is lol
If you like chips + salsa, then moes is probably gonna be a much better deal since chipotle prices that at a ridiculous amount and at moes it's free iirc.
If you aren't getting chips + salsa, I think chipotle > moes even though it's a little bit more expensive.*
For me, a chipotle burrito with guac is like $1.50 more than a moes burrito. I feel that I get a much larger serving size at chipotle doing the half and half trick (but I know in NYC they crack down on this, I'm in Texas), and I feel like Chipotle is more than enough superior to Moes to go to Chipotle 100 % of the time.
If I liked chips + salsa and had to pay 3.50 more, I don't really care enough about it and would probably still go to Chipotle.
That said, Texas price on Moes is the same as NYC price apparently. Texas is one of the cheaper places and NYC is the most expensive, so I guess they just have a national pricing? That is the big difference for you, Chipotle is also upping their prices significantly in NYC (I think it's like $2.50 more for the meal you described than for me), whereas Moes is staying the same.
So for an NYC guy who also likes chips + salsa it's costing you 8 dollars more or something, so I don't blame you at all for preferring Moes.
