the thing is you don't need that guy to open a chipotle-style indian restaurant. the other two finalists would have a brand built around them and the image they project.

Ugh Yelp reviews. Most are good, but the bad ones are so ****ing tilting it's... it's a thing on the internet.

I did slightly more work than was appropriate to try and figure out who somebody was that slammed one of my favorite hometown restaurants for not being able to deliver flawless service for a party of 13 that showed up without a reservation. Oh man the email talking to they would have received had I hunted them down.

I have a big nit about people who come in big parties and then bitch about things being slow. This is because I have an utter **** of an uncle (not blood) who does this nearly every time we dine out as a family. (and mind you, until the problem solved himself over the last two years, that included two people in wheelchairs, one hella stroked out and the other functionally deaf- not the easiest party in the world in the first place) AND the place is one of the like 2 passable place in Pullman that has been excellent to my family and their aforementioned circus. You diss Swilly's, you diss yourself (their service at least, their "we were current in the 80s" bistro menu that hasn't meaningfully changed since then is fair game).

Had first In and Out experience earlier, and I have to say it is exactly as described: at the top of the class in fast food, but still fast food. I had a double-double with animal style fries. The burger reminded me of a little smaller and less customizable version of a Five Guys burger. The fries were a bit cold, and the cheese/dressing/onions combo was rendered to a very weird consistency because of it, but nonetheless was quite delicious. The place was super busy right as we got there for some reason so that's clearly why the fries were like that but in the commotion I forgot about the shakes they have so I'll have to remember that next time. All in all mucho points for being super good tasting and a super good price when evaluated next to other burger options.

So McDonald's is advertising their new McNuggets sauces, and their homepage now shows six sauces, four of which are labeled as "new." This is awful for two reasons. First, three of the four new sauces - buffalo, ranch and honey mustard - have been available for a couple of years, ever since they introduced their chicken strips, you just had to pay more to get them with nuggets. The fourth - sweet chili - was available for a limited time during the last olympics, I think. So, their campaign of four new sauces actually has 0 new flavors to try.

Second, and far more important: HOT MUSTARD IS MISSING!!

Hot Mustard is the secret to any McDonald's visit. It goes great on the burgers, on a McChicken, and on the fries. McDonald's Hot Mustard is on the Mt Rushmore of fast food sauces, along with Fire Sauce from Taco Bell, and Arby's Sauce/Horsey Sauce Mix. The honey mustard at Wendy's can fight it out with the onion ring sauce at BK for the last spot.

The expert meal at McDonald's:

Double Cheeseburger no onions (so they make it fresh) (1.29)
McChicken (1.00)
Medium Fries (1.89 or thereabouts)
3 Hot Mustard Packs (0.00 - 0.75, depending how much of an ass the owner is)
Hot Fudge Sundae w/ extra Hot Fudge at the bottom of the cup (1.35)

Sad day if it's really gone

animal style fries don't sound very appealing to me, but then again, In N Out fries are horrible, it probably does help.

anyone have them done well done?

Does anyone remember Cindys fast food joints? We had them in Georgia a few years ago, they were just like Wendys but a lil bit cheaper.

does anyone know exactly what the geographic cutoff is for McDonald's putting mustard on the burgers as a standard? no mcd in nyc or long island does but all up and down the east coast they do. what's it like in the south/midwest/west?

You mean like on a quarter pounder?

I thought mustard was standard everywhere. What do they put on it in NYC?

Yeah their fries are gross either way.I've always enjoyed Fatburger's burgers better, and the restaurant as a whole.

i'd like to report that my 2 mcdoubles were not stale, but moist and fluffy. did a pretty optimal post-game pull from the dollar menu:

-2 plain cheese
-2 reg cheese
-2 mcdoubles
-4 nugget
-sm fry
-2 pie

$8.7something total for 3 of us. ordered the pies, but didn't get rung up originally and manager casually gave us two free afterward and said thanks for the wait.

if i was very, very poor i would find this hard to pass up

Wendy's has a new addition to their dollar menu I haven't seen before, a breaded chicken caesar wrap. It was two full size chicken tenders with lettuce, parmesan, and caesar dressing. I wasn't crazy about the taste but it was huge and a great deal for 99c. It was probably 3x the size of a standard McDonalds sausage burrito.

Had a frisco breakfast sandwich at Hardee's, the nut fast food breakfast place imo, but it wasn't as good as I remembered it being. Their country fried steak biscuit is intriguing. Has anyone tried it? Seriously Hardee's is the nuts for breakfast.

Get a toaster oven, or just use an oven.

Well done is my standard play. It takes them from awful to edible. I think enjoyable is too much to ask for.

That's what I generally use (a small counter top toaster oven). It's just that fries always turn out tasting nasty and even more cooked than before. Then anything that has a lot of sauce.. it either gets soggy or it just falls apart. And with churros, I usually end up drying them out too much or the sugar/cinnamon will get burnt

Holy sh*t, how could you eat all that?
How could you wait thru 3 drive thrus?
Did your heart seize up after the double double?
Did you at least get a date w/ one of the drive thru girls?
Over/under on how long you'll be sitting on the toilet tomorrow?
