This thread as inspired me to track down the $3 nachos TB is selling. Shocking news I got yesterday though; my Taco Bell that had been there since the 90s has apparently been consumed by the KFC half. All KFC now, so I gotta go find another TB.
Pretty sure the further you get from the hot oil, the further from delicious they (KK) become. That said, agree 100% with punkass. Hot n fresh are pretty damned good. But I'm glad most of their stores closed in Az, including the closest couple to me.
My only complaint about KK is that they are just too sweet. Maybe they are sweeter than the doughnuts I had off the lines of a couple of bakeries when I was a kid or maybe I just liked sweeter doughnuts then.
But KK doughnuts are the best doughnuts going right now AFAIK! But only when the red light is on!
Had my first Culver's frozen custard yesterday (Butter Pecan) and it was practically a religious experience. I always thought Freddy's was good but this stuff is next-level amazing.
I'll never have a hot KK. Every time I've seen a KK there's a big line and I can't stand lines. I've had old ones at the place in TI. They were okay, a basic over-sugared glazed donut.
For anyone near an Old Spaghetti Factory... They have a promo called "Meatball Monday". You get two spaghetti and meatball entrees, 2 soup or salads, loaf of sourdough bread, 2 drinks and two spumoni ice creams for dessert all for $25! A fantastic deal imo. This is more than 50% off the normal price. I think it's dine in only.
Don't forget to ask for pesto to dip the bread in...
Found a strange new Taco Bell to try out the $2.99 beef nachos, not bad. Also I had Church's today, did my old Popeye's trick of just getting a breast ala carte, only $2.40 or so iirc. It was huge and pretty tasty too. Their sweet biscuits really suck though, cmon Church's. I don't expect HoF biscuits like Popeye's but still.
kioshk, do you have a point of comparison between church's and popeye's biscuits?
either a crowning cathedral or spinach forearm approach would help anchor understanding to how they compare to hardee's/carl's breakfast savories
omg u r taking me back in time (90s) to late night happy hour, cheap burgers and meeting random weird hot chicks during late night happy hour.
I have not seen an open Bennigans since the early 2000s.
I may have to do a TR for Bennigans - Pakistan
Spoiler:
NOT! But I appreciate u bringing up a blast from the past!
I recall eating a Monte Cristo in a dusty Bennigan's in Round Rock, Texas sometime around 2004. I never saw one again after that. Even then it seemed like an anachronism.
