Went big at Taco Bell, grabbing 4 items off their new $3 or less menu + one Cheesy Chicken Crispanada.
Cheesy Chicken Crispanada (Pictured, $3.89) - agree with review a week ago, pretty tasty, but laughable value at $3.89. Can't imagine ever ordering again.
Loaded Beef Nachos (Pictured, $2.99) - I was quite surprised by how big these were, I was expecting somewhere between 50%-66% the volume. Overall I was impressed they included sour cream + guac + meat for the quantity they gave at $3 price point. I liked the enchilada-ish red sauce they put on them too. Very solid nachos side dish option here.
Beef Stacker (Not pictured, $2.49) - This is a tough one for me. It's basically a quesadilla, although I'm guessing a smaller tortilla than their regular quesadilla. Given I think the chicken or steak quesadilla is priced at $6.79 IIRC, this at least relatively has decent value. But, it just doesn't taste as good as the premium version. I see myself buying the stacker regularly, but being sad about it each time.
Chicken Flatbread Melt (Not pictured, $2.79) - This was downright decent, chicken + cheese + chipotle sauce on a substantial piece of flatbread. It was pretty doughy/soft, but enjoyed it well enough.
Chicken Enchilada Burrito (Not pictured, $2.99) - Again portion size was bigger than I expected. Flavor was just OK though, lots of their rice which is just ok.
Overall I''m relatively impressed with the portion sizes from this menu, and non-fat-asses can probably get a solid meal with 2 items from here. I'd always order 3, and sadly, a couple years of fast food inflation has me believing that a $9 meal from taco bell is decent value (when I can still hear a past version of myself screaming through the ether that it should be < $6).
