New fast food discussion/review thread - Page 2789 - Other Topics Forum - Discuss Pop Culture, Arts and Entertainment

Probably won't happen. A couple months ago I had to do something that absolutely required a smart phone. I tried several ways around it, but the organization involved insisted. So I went to Walmart and bought the cheapest one I could find. What a royal pain to get it set up. Then once it was set up, a huge pain to perform the 2 or 3 tasks that I had to. A 12 year old probably could've finished them in 30 seconds. With my electric finger probs, it took me the better part of an hour. But I got it done, and it reminded me why I never want to pick up a smart phone again.

You know that several fast-food restaurants deals work with just a web browser. No app needed.

Carl's, taco bell, Burger King (Pretty sure), and several more..

McDonald's needs the app.

Yeah, JITB does. Got a free shake the other day. I didn't know BK's did, not that it matters since our BK closed. Some of the ff restaurants here do not "participate" in the loyalty clubs. Maybe because costs are high locally.

I’m trying to think of reasons to ever eat Sbarro and the only one I can come up with is that you have been locked in a mall food court for weeks and the other options have run out of food.

I'm not sure I would go that far, but the few times I've been to one I considered the food to be eligible for inclusion in a bland diet.

Yes Habit has an app. Its pretty basic, like their fries.

JJ was fine to me, except the sodium levels on a lot of their sandos are comically high.

For the price of a JJ sub though you can buy a baguette and meat for less. The wildcard is the lettuce; I love finely shredded lettuce, but in the off season it's like 3 fitty for a head. Also tomatoes suck this time of year

That being said a good bread, meat, and cheese only sandwich can be amazing

One TB by me never had it. Another got rid of it recently.

The oddest thing is how different prices are b/w the 2. It would make sense if one was just more expensive than the other- but there are a bunch of items that are more expensive in one, then different items that are more expensive in the other.

Pizza at wawa, that can't be good. And at 15 bucks for a 14", I'd never find out.

But in my app there's an offer for $7.99 any 14" pizza. So I got the Supreme. Waited not very long, maybe 12ish minutes.

Firm if not slight crunchy crust with a butter glaze - surprisingly good. Undercarriage has an impressive char.

The downfall is the toppings and cheese -- while the oven gets hot enough for a good char on the bottom, the toppings and cheese do not have much browning. Maybe a 1 topping pizza would be better?

Overall better than expected, but I'm not getting it full price ($15.99 for supreme).

Even Dave would be impressed with that undercarriage.

But yeah, the comment about not much browning on the top is one of the main reasons I don't like veggies on a pizza, especially mushrooms. There is too much moisture.

Top under done, subpar bell pepper placement.

Shrooms are great on pizza, they just need to be cooked first. Ideally any moisture would be cooked out in a blazing hot oven.
