My wife loves the 2 tacos for 99 cents. It's too bad there's not one anywhere near us as I love the ultimate cheeseburger and curly fries. Only thing I hate about JITB is the coke machine. I hate the freestyle as your coke ends up tasting like ****, a horrible combo of orange, grape, cherry and vanilla.

Went spicy, nuggets, mac and cheese and frosted lemonade, was glorious.

Also made the elite call to get curbside. Stopped across the street to place my order in the app, saw that the drive thru was super backed up. Ordered, parked, had my food in <5 minutes, saved 20 minutes easy.

I think this weekend may finally break me, boys. The siren call is strong.

Next level. I’ve been sticking to the drive thru, but it’s been smooth enough I haven’t considered curbside. I’ll keep it in the back pocket just in case.

Precorona, I always ordered on the app and went inside for pickup.

Wendy's 4 for 4 with a free spicy today. Menu had items crossed off due to supply shortages. Really gunna hurt me if I can't get hot fresh beef next month!

The Krispy Kreme by my house constantly has a drive thru line that wraps around the building and onto the main road... doesn’t seem to move that fast ... what am I missing??

Good donuts, lousy coffee

Only go when the "Hot DoNuts" sign is lit--and get the regular glazed as they are coming off the line. Other than that, the donuts are fairly standard--perhaps above average. And agree with TimTim that the coffee is atrocious.

Yeah, freestyle machines tend to give off a generally lemon flavor in almost every drink

Krispy Kreme has 3 different LTOs, 1 each a week starting this week. I've earmarked some time for a trip for key lime donuts this coming week.

I noticed this too at the one by me. I was similarly baffled.

I may need to risk life and limb for one of those Key Lime Donuts.

Perfect description; lots of people rave about it but it's just OK.

IMO

KK glazed in a box: C+ relative to other donuts
KK donut other than glazed: D+
KK glazed hot/freshly made: A-, worth the hype

KK related story:

My friend who taught me poker ran up 10k from 1k at 5/10 NL 6 max on Party back in early 05 (iirc) and on a whim he put it all in Krispy Kreme stock.

When I learned of this I told him to ****ing sell that **** immediately. I convinced him as much and he sold all of it for like a minor loss, maybe a couple hundred.

The next day KK stock fell 40%.

A fresh doughnut is always delicious, regardless of where it comes from.

I think I was 12 and in Georgia the first time I had Krispy Kreme. Fresh off the line, and I was head over heels.

I've yet to replicate, but also I don't think I've had them immediately fresh since then.

This.

When I was a kid we used to ride our motorcycles to the rear of a large bakery and get a dozen or two doughnuts as they were coming off the line. Then we'd get a Pepsi (no Coke--*******s!) out of the machine on the loading dock and sit on the edge of the dock and demolish the entire box (or two). Best doughnuts ever!

Hot KK doughnuts are a distant second, but still good--less glaze and they'd be quite a bit better.
