I didn't grow up in cheesesteak country at all - do people ever put horseradish on them?

I always get honey mustard on my cheese steaks. Grilled peppers + onions, American cheese. Obviously not classic Philly style but cheeze wiz sounds disgusting.

Horseradish sounds like it would be pretty awesome.

Anybody like steak umm's? I always suspected Papa Ginos of using them on their steak and cheese.

I was doing the Jersey Mike's BOGO today and I got the chipotle mayo on my Big Kahuna (a #99). I thought it was good but honestly I could barely taste the mayo. In a blind taste test between with or without the mayo, I doubt I could tell.

While there, a guy ordered a sandwich with meat and tons of bacon. It looked delicious. At the cashier he said it was his birthday and wanted it for free. Cashier asked him if he was in the birthday club, he said no and the cashier said too bad. lol The guy walked out. Having that sandwich just sit there brought a tear to my eye.

If the only option was a cheesesteak with cheeze whiz I'd just go hungry. Give me real cheese, I don't give a **** if it's authentic.

Wiz is fine, but I always go with provolone or white American. Not even from philly, but it bothers me to see all these regional variations passed off as a philly cheesesteak.

A legit cheesesteak is divine, possibly the best sandwich there is. Adding green peppers and all this other BS might make a good sandwich, but don't call it a philly. What you have is a steak sandwich with cheese on it.

The best cheese steak is clearly a turkey with cheddar and horse raddish on a hamburger buns.

What a total butt nugget. Ugh, I’ve seen and dealt with a lot of awfulness in humanity today, and this guy is also a butt nugget. Why wouldn’t you ask before you had them make the sandwich?

Yesterday I came really close to getting the Sonic Carhop Classic special they're running, 1/4 lb cheeseburger and tots for $2.99. Audibled at the last second in favor of the 7-11 right next to it. Went with the 8 bbq boneless "wings" for $3 thing, had them make it fresh for me. She sorta half-burned them but the char seemed to work with the sweet sauce lol, pretty tasty. And I think she threw in a few mutant extras in free cause I was extra-nice to her.

Cheese/cheese-adjacent substance rankings for cheesesteak:
#1 provolone
#2 american
#3 whiz

Toppings all are personal preference, but I go with onions and sometimes a little ketchup if I'm in the mood. And if I happen to be hammered and taking someone to Geno's because it's 3:00a and they've never been, I'll put hot peppers on there.

I am perplexed that someone allegedly from the area would refer to a cheesesteak as "a philly." Seeing a cheesesteak referred to as "a philly" on a menu is actually a good way to know to stay away from it.

Did the Jersey Mikes BOGO (Bless you Mark) with a 13 Italian and a 42 Chicken Cheese steak with Chipolte mayo. Ate the 42 in store and the 13 later. Ran me 9 dollars and some change.

Both were fine, Italian was nothing special. The Chicken Cheese Steak is probably the best you can get at a chain sub shop in my experience. Doesn't compete with a real deli sandwhich.

I would never pay the 9 bucks a sub menu price, just felt ok about paying 5 bucks for each tbh.

Only 2 more days of smashpass, it looks like I am going to hit 90 days or maybe just under. Estimating my total retail value acquired to be about 850 dollars. I have 2 10 dollar coupons I've accumulated with my free survey side "purchases".

In my visits I purchased 1 drink so they got about 3 bucks out of me aside from the 100 for the pass.

Still ~175 pounds and in the 17%s bodyfat percentage per my scale, just like when I started. IDK what I'm going to do to replace these smash calories!

Final thoughts are smashburger is real good, varies pretty heavily by location. Better value than 5 guys and that tier. Better quality than the standard bar Burger that you would pay 8 or 9 bucks for. The regular fries have grown on me over the last couple weeks, they are mcdonalds style fries, I really like them when they are well done.

Will be buying the Smash Pass again in the future and will not be visiting to pay retail prices, they've absolutely broken me as a consumer lol.

Epic. I think that makes you eligible for honorary membership in Mark K's family.

Chase Pay is running another $5 off deal today, I believe it's all day. I haven't checked yet but historically they've had 5 Guys, Potbelly, Boston Market and Quiznos plus some local places. Planning on some ~ half price 5 Guys for dinner.
