I'm at my local Taco Bell/Long John Silver.

Above the trash can there is a bell that you are supposed to ring if the food/service was good. Has anyone seen this before?

Some guy just rang the bell hard. When I toss my food I think I'm doing the same thing. Great service and the tacos were about what I expected. Maybe a little above average.

Is the bell above the trash can standard? I never noticed it before.

They call it the "Captain's Bell". LJS/TB... get it?

Edit... the sign says, "If we did well, ring the bell".

Edit 2...they did well but I didn't actually ring the bell.

I've seen the bell at LJS and Boston Market. My kids usually ring it when leaving.

It's pretty damn irritating as a dine-in customer.

People aren't unwrapping all the way, right? I unwrap a moderate amount, put down a line of sauce, then wrap it back up with no problem:

I never realized how many Taco Bell/(other FF joints) combos there are. Where I'm from we have a KFC/Taco Bell which to me is the nuts for FF places. What other ones are there?

That's a recipe for a giant mess if you routinely add about 6 Fire sauce packets to the burrito. I unwrap, pour, rewrap. I don't get the big deal?

Why not just administer a glob of sauce to each bite? That's how I do it. Once hand the burrito, use other hand to administer sauce.

I sometimes do that but it's often just easier to grab three packets, put them together and rip them open together. Repeat and I'm set.

It's all about efficiency.

Man if we could get some more MSPaints in this thread, that would just take it to another level.

Hit up Wendy's today and man what a mess - they must have been understaffed because the line was 3-4 deep and they were just in a panic the whole time. That said my 4 for $4 was delicious - really wanted to add on another item but nothing sounded that great and didn't think I could/should do a whole spicy chicken in addition to the double stack meal

I have never seen the bell, but I like it. It is a great way to appreciate service. Reminds of the bell behind the bar for good tips.

If the bell is actually right above the trash can it kind of seems more like "Look at me, I bussed my own table! Everyone's doing it!" But I am in no way a bell expert, do not speak bell.

On the same note as the bell, but worse: The Arby's by me has a sign on the drive through window that says "honk if our service was great" or something close to that. I've only been there 2-3 times but luckily I've never seen anyone follow this advice.

Im in the add sauce out of the packet to every bite boat. No burrito unfolding for me mostly because somethings are better left unknown... Like whats in the middle of my taco bell burrito.

My Arby's has it and I agree it's irritating while I'm eating, especially when some guy rings the hell out of the bell 7-8 times like he's trying to warn a captain on a ship that there is an iceberg on the horizon

Seems to annoy the employees as well, seems they're all required to let out an annoyed cheer every time it gets rung

maybe i missed it, but it's also disappointing nobody has mentioned the spicy triple double crunchwrap is back.

Tried Wendy's cod sandwich. Good and crispy, far superior to a Fillet-o-Fish.
