There is Portillos here now but I haven't made it over there yet, one of these days though (here being ~2 hours away). I don't eat enough FF to judge anymore but I think Carl's Jr. and Wendy's are the best of the "traditional" burger places and Five Guys best overall (maybe Shake Shack is better but my one experience was meh). Have never had a burger from Sonic, DQ, or Culver's despite being to all those places multiple times. Whataburger and In n Out are also pretty good, I'll pass on JITB, BK, and McDs though. Taco Bell is GOAT FF though.

Also not really in the spirit of this thread but because I follow this one and it might help someone with a quick meal: I just tried AFC brand sushi from my local supermarket (has Hello Kitty branding) and it was excellent, better than some restaurants.

I'd usually have a coupon, but it would be 2 or 3 chicken planks, fries, hushpuppies and possibly slaw. In the old days, you could get 2 of those meals for 5 or 6 bucks. I think going chicken over fish is the pro LJS play, it all tastes the same anyway.

Had a single at Wendys for the first time in about a year - they really seem to have dropped off - especially disliked the bun - the top seemed too perfect - like it had a coat of varnish on it to make it look good.

Fish or shrimp is pretty much standard, with slaw and corn as sides.

I can't believe people are responding to this as if it's a real question.

I haven't seen many around Detroit, but driving elsewhere around the state I see them once in a while.

LJS chicken is right up there with Chik-fil-a, imo. I like those weird batter-style fries too, definitely better than Chik-fil-a, BK, wendy's.

i can't remember if someone has posted this particular McDs hack yet (but my strong deja vu feeling suggests someone has), but double cheeseburgers are currently 2 for $3 on the pick 2 menu. sub mac sauce for ketchup/mustard so you don't get charged extra (you can always get ketchup for free), get them to add onions, ditch half of a bun, slap them together and you're basically getting a big mac for $3 without the crunchy water and sesame seed bun. pretty sure you're getting more meat and more cheese for less money.

They already put onions on there bruh.

All the LJS that were within a reasonable driving distance of me closed years ago. I miss the chicken planks more than the fish. And the crumblies.

I get the planks and fish combo from LJS where they give you 3 chicken planks and 2 fish. It can be very good.

Those Big MacDoubles, or just MacDoubles, truly are delicious.

Just had my own Friday night SBC in the form of a Baconator. Dont think Ive had one in a few years. Pretty serious business.

I tried the nacho double stack tacos and thought they were decent and definitely filling. $1 each seems like a bargain tbh, will be getting again soon.

I've seen LJS throughout the Midwest, but not on the East coast.
