Watched Good Girls with Christina Hendricks today. It was not great, but mildly amusing at points. but it's a great excuse to just stare at Christina Hendricks for roughly 8 hours.

It's about 3 women who rob a store and that leads them to several other crimes along the way.

I am a fan of all 3 lead actresses. Is not a great show but enjoyable enough.

Hell or High Water is on Netflix now and it’s one of my favorite movies in the past few years. Crime, violence, and Jeff Bridges.

On that note, The Big Lebowski is also on Netflix so you might as well grab yourself some White Russians and make it a double header.

6 episodes in out of 8. Pretty enjoyable. A good show for me as it is dark with some humor, but not too scary or suspenseful, which I am a wuss about. Also with 8 episodes at about 20 minutes, 18 after credits, it is a really easy season to binge. Would recommend.

Lol, I didn't even think of that. I almost turned it off 10 minutes in after the kids opened the door. I ended up fast forwarding almost the entire first episode. I didn't really like any of the characters but they grew on me as the show went on though.

Happy is alright. Love the concept, execution isn't great though. Could use better writers. It's ok for light viewing.

Highly recommend American Circumcision. Very eye-opening. Societal norms ftl.

+1 to Very English Scandal.

It's not included on any streaming service (I paid $10 for the first season on Amazon) but Killing Eve was pretty good. Convoluted at times, there's a big conspiracy in the back that's never fully revealed and lots of seemingly obvious contradictions that are just kinda thrown to the wayside - but it's fast-paced and always entertaining. I'll commit to watching season 2 which I guess is a solid recommendation these days.

So Ben Wishaw gets a Golden Globe for playing Ben Wishaw. Hugh Grant, who always plays Hugh Grant, plays a blinder for a change and gets nothing.

Enjoyed though. It does help if you know something of the history.

Subtitles are really well done, though. I've seen this movie half a dozen times, always riveted when I watch. It's a fantastic coming of age/gangster story with fresh editing and deeply compelling performances, especially from the younger actors. It hasn't aged a day and I think I'm going to put it on right now. Thanks for the mention, mrpotto.

City of Men is a spiritual sequel of sorts from the same producers. It's good, but City of God is phenomenal.

Watching You and I’m on episode 7. It’s not good. The 1st episode I kind of wanted to keep watching to see where it would go...it just gets worse. It’s boring, predictable, and cringy at times. I think it’s supposed to be edgy and suspenseful but just comes off as corny and annoying.

I keep watching because I’ve watched so many shows, I wanted to try something else. My friend jokes that I’ve seen “All of Netflix”

Watched Avicii documentary. It is good. Pretty sad seeing him struggle with inner demons even when it looked like he had it all. The way he is portrayed it definitely seemed like he was looking for answers.

I watch all shows with subtitles. That might because I have two kids, one being a very loud 5 year old, so there is no way I can just sit there and shut out the rest of the world with my earbuds in, only have it in one ear.
