the problem is that bill seems so modest/humble I dunno that he would ever agree to hog most of the screen time, but it's the only way the show can be really good.
every line of his is ****ing hilarious but the kids and wife are awful.
Yeah it is insanely hard to hit A+ in the first season.
The Simpsons took until season 3, season 4 to hit top speed. If I'm ever feeling nostalgic it's watch everything from 4-7 then 8, 3, 9, 2 if I need more but it's a full level lower and I'll skip a bunch in those years.
South Park was around season 4 as well, hit a groove through season 8 and like Simpsons you only go back to 1-3, 9+ if you want more and it's more pick and choose vs watch everything straight through.
Futurama started stronger than both of those, but season 1 was the weakest pre-cancellation season.
Archer started strong from the start, had it's dip later on.
