revenge of the nerds was a staple of my childhood. i am pleased to announce that it holds up pretty well, even for my bf who had never seen it. remember when mainstream comedies could show full-on tits and bush (booger: "we've got bush!")?

Man I'm with you there. Started watching it a couple weeks ago when I was sick. Now I'm on the 6th season already. Only show I've ever just watched episode after episode besides Dexter.

Just watched Paul Mccartney Really is Dead: The last Testament of George Harrison

Usually I am always like "lol conspiracy theories", but this documentary is mind blowing, even if you dont believe the message(Paul Mccartney died in 1966), you will never hear Beatles Songs the same again, and there are a **** ton of clues supporting the message, I really dont know what to believe.

My wife and I got to talking about this and the theory is quite interesting. However, I take the line of everybody says that the Beatles are these great artists, that they are really all about their craft. Why couldn't they decide that doing something like this, and making this completely fake Paul is dead conspiracy, could constitute some great art like social experiment? I think its far more fascinating to believe that they've purposefully put these references in their songs entirely to fool a minimal number of people into believing something 100% false. Honestly, I had never even heard the rumor before the film, and its really quite interesting regardless of which way it really is.

Since Paul McCartney is not dead, you are probably right.

just watched all of the available Spartacus episodes, very impressed. seems a bit cheap not to provide all episodes via streaming, guess that is business

Netflix stock down 10% in 10 days since the update. The rest of the market down 1% as a point of reference. If it drops another 10% in 10 days I gotta believe someone will have to fall on their sword. I gave 'em 2 weeks to change it back 10 days ago, so I'm probably out of here by the end of the weekend. Been nice knowing you 2+2, but since internet poker is done, there's only a couple of things I check in on anymore and this thread was one of them.

Could some "big picture" guy purposely be torpedoing the WI so companies don't demand too much more money to stream their stuff a la Sony?

Since the update, or since the report that Netflix would have to pay around 10x what they do now to Starz when their contract is up.

I still don't get the hate for the ending of the movie. It fits enitrely into the tone of the movie to that point, and is exactly what many people would do in that situation. The final reveal is beyond heartbreaking, and if you can't feel an emotional connection to the guy after finding out what he did was all for naught, I really don't know what to say.

This was pretty much exactly how I felt. His actions were entirely in line with what I would expect a lot of people to do.

I really hope that the streaming business gets hurt by stuff like the fees they have to pay, bandwidth, outages such as this weekend, etc. It's gross that they ignore Blu-Ray (there are a ton of titles that I want that they don't have at all) in favor of streaming and that the public eats up the poor quality streams.

If you own a Blu-Ray player, watching a movie like The Thin Red Line streaming is gross and is drastically hurting your experience.
