Mullen, stop.

Gonna say this one more time so you can get it.

Its domination beyond recognition.

No exaggeration.

My work performance is unreal.

Theres a reason this thread is 70 miles long.

Theres a reason I dominate beyond repair.

A beast is somewhat uncanny. Its hard to explain really.

I also have the impulse control of a death row inmate however. Causes problems in life.

Also I am not always the nicest person in the world. But I do feel like most of the time my heart is in the right place.

What if once the VP sees this write up I will be fired? For all I know thats whats about to happen.

Most likely.

How is the resume looking?
03-25-2015 , 12:43 AM
Silence donkey.

If that were the case they wouldnt have let me work these last couple days.

You ate up little McDaniel.
03-25-2015 , 12:47 AM
You just got written up today you impulsive imp...

The VP prob won't see it till tomorrow.

How do you act around the VP? Are you disrespectful to him also? Or are you beta to his alpha?
03-25-2015 , 12:53 AM
Beast,

I think if you are not getting offered candy anymore that is most definitely NOT a good sign

but alternatively, I don't really see why they care if you have a little bit of alcohol on your breath. you're obviously good at your job, I don't really understand why you aren't allowed to drink a little here and there to loosen things up on the phone. it's like they haven't even watched an episode of Mad Men. Maybe you should go somewhere that appreciates your skillset

I mean have you seen Wolf of Wall Street. Those guys do coke on the reg but they ****in perform. I don't see why it should be any different at a medium sized collection agency.
03-25-2015 , 12:55 AM
mullen,

The guy is paid $16/hr without benefits. That's basically the same as a starbucks barista or whole foods checker here. Or a teenager babysitting. His replacement will need to be trained, then have ramp up time to get up to speed, and will prob cost at least $20/hr. That's why he has been able to get away with a lot without getting fired.

But now it sounds like she asked to have him fired when he was on vacation, but they said hey he's only had x writeups documented in last y months, that's not enough to fire him. So she's writing up all his violations so she can fire him with no questions based on their official HR policies.
03-25-2015 , 12:56 AM
It seems kind of slimy to me that she would pounce on the opportunity to put the fact that I had alcohol on my breath in the write up along with all the other stuff.

She seemed to believe I was sick and took a shot and she still seems to be attempting to capitalize on it.

She clearly doesnt seem to like me. Lets face it.
03-25-2015 , 12:59 AM
Beast,

I don't know if that is true. It might be. Women are complex creatures.
03-25-2015 , 12:59 AM
She said it was a "final written warning".

She also said I "need to show immediate improvement in these areas".

She also said she is "willing to start over, even now".

And that I have "said that before but then things like this keep happening".

To which I responded that my intentions are good and Im not sure why this BS keeps happening.
03-25-2015 , 01:02 AM
Also if she "asked to have me fired" while I was in Vegas and they agreed....

It would have been done Monday. Not Wednesday.

Kind of funny I have to explain this to you.
03-25-2015 , 01:02 AM
Beast... Assuming you get fired the next day or two...

Are you planning on asking the TBoss out on Friday? I mean, your barriers are then gone.
03-25-2015 , 01:04 AM
Babs,

Learn to read, dude. She asked to have you fired, they told her what needs to happen before she can fire you, she's doing what they said. Not rocket science.
03-25-2015 , 01:05 AM
So you are saying I am being blatantly deceived, and that this thing was delayed until Wednesday instead of firing me Monday. For what purpose?
03-25-2015 , 01:05 AM
why didnt you just flat out deny the alcohol thing, doesnt seem like something she could prove
03-25-2015 , 01:05 AM
"Learn to read, dude".

Ok, Ill get on that and once Im literate I'll let you know.

Stupid ass.
03-25-2015 , 01:06 AM
She has to write you up for the alcohol thing for future purposes.

I had a scratchy throat and my co worker next to me was giving me coughdrops all day.

Ive been there for over 2 years and have never been caught with alcohol on my breath.

She believed me. But now shes trying to capitalize on this ****.

Unreal.
03-25-2015 , 01:07 AM
Sucks about the alcohol thing, now if you ask her out for drinks she'll think you're an alcoholic.

Is reading comprehension really that big of a problem for you?

Documentation, meeting HR policy for employee termination.
03-25-2015 , 01:08 AM
SCT,

Unlikely he gets fired next day or two. There's likely an official process of "final written warning" followed by "probation / improvement plan" or some **** before termination. As a new manager, she prob didn't know the whole timeline/process involved in the firing and didn't take the right initial steps. So she's starting the process now by documenting all the violations and escalating things as per termination process. It's a big pain in the ass to fire someone in CA without incurring any potential liability.
