Someone tell me I'm not the only one that gets awful songs stuck in my head the moment I wake up, please. Sometimes I get lucky and it's a different song... but mostly Winnie the Pooh. Why does mine have to be Winnie the pooh? I. Hate. Winnie. The. Pooh.

I always get songs stuck in my head, but I cant say only when waking up. Maybe try using an alarm that lets you set a song as an alarm. That way the song playing will be in your head not WTP. Alarmdroid is free and effective on android market. Also, purposefully did not click on link so I dont get WTP stuck in my head...

This is an awesome call. I've always just used beeping alarms out of habit.

Yeah, something about your current alarm (as little as two beats of rhythm or two tones can do it) matches the WTP song and... you're toast.

Not every morning but usually when i'm with a girl and i say "i think it's time to get up" i invariably end up breaking into a rendition of the song, to mixed reactions

For a period of like 3 years (starting maybe 5 years ago) I basically would get a song in my head during my morning shower like 3-7 times a week. It wouldn't creep into my head at any other point during the day. Just the morning shower.

At least it's much better than the Pooh song. Like half the time I would end up singing it while showering, or at least humming. My name is Joe so maybe it was some message that I was supposed to take a gun to work and whack my boss or something.

I always wake up with random songs stuck in my head that I can't remember having heard recently at all. Like, no idea where they came from or why they are in my head. It's weird. Recently I woke up with "Last Christmas" by Wham stuck in my head. WTF.

my alarm is set to play the chorus of rage against the machine - wake up. it's pretty effective, still jarring even after like 6 mnths

when i was younger i always used to hear the little green frog in the shower but i actually liked the song so would whistle it. in fact that was my go-to happy song for all negative situations
